reverse yes but not custom 3d perspective of a video.i mean to let video stay at a certain point of view . unfortunately.plus it doesnt support free custom masking (with a pen tool)

3. Is there a substitute for the fade in fade out effect in powerdirector that is in WMM?

Do you mean create chromo key effects? ie replace the background of an image with another? Yes.

Answer: this was done using 4 video tracks (in PowerDirector called PiP tracks) with each clip layed over the main video.

Q1. There are a few ways. a) for video trying applying the zoom in effect from the effects library by dragging it on top of your video. b) a more complicated apprach could be to manually create a kind of zoom effect using the PiP Designer and creating a motion track. c) for photos you can apply Magic Motion and use one of the zoom/pan effects there.

For Q3 you can apply the fade transition on your clips, or select "fade in" & "fade out" when creating videos on the PiP track

I got this too. At first I was a little dissapointed it lacked some of the Windows Movie Maker features. But then, I figured how to make things on this one, and if I want effects on WMM, i'll just make it in there, then transfer it over. VERY GOOD SOFTWARE

I've been reviewing this to find a peice of software for my son that offered more than WMM. In particular, I wanted Chroma Key possibiities! I found it! Thanks to your FREE demo version, I'm very satisfied with what I've seen and am purchasing a copy for my 12 year old son! (This demo was the thing that finalized my decision to buy the product...THANK YOU!)

They are from an old stock footage collection called VideoTraxx 2 --- from a disc called NASA. Would love to say I took them myself!

actually how do i transform my clip as i want? i mean if i want my clip to be oly 30% of the screen and everything else to be just black or whateva , how do i do it?

You can create a colored background by dragging a Color Board to the video track. Then drag video to your PiP tracks. Resize your video as you want.

i suggest u to use ( ulead 9 it has slow motion and fsat motion and even reverse ) but it,s not easy like power director, and it,s not hard either , i have both , so some effects r not in u lead u can find in power director and vise versa , if u want somthing pro u can use adobe premier and final cut pro , but they r really expensive and hard to learn , hope i was helpfull :-)

powerdirector 7 is great for editing videos, it has awesome stuff and is really easy to use.

Sounds like you want to do professional projects...I'd say PowerDirector can achieve great results with home videos, but you might look at what you are really trying to achieve and the control you want. Anyway, try it using the Free Trial version first.

Multiple PiP tracks. There are up to 6, but I just used 4. Each video is put into its own track on the timeline.
