@123gigan on the underside in between the two sections of five legs, they have no lower jaw, so they grind up food with the shoulder-like parts of their legs and then eat the food.

they are probably horrible 'pets' as they tend to grow up quite large, I think, and most people don't have the adequate water tanks to house them in.

there actually not to hard to keep. they really should have a sand bed and you can pick small ones up from 10-30 bucks at alot of salt water stores i have 3 in my tank rite now they love to zoom around

You shouldn't keep them as pets. They're numbers are suffering as it is with overharvesting and pollution and habitat loss. Every individual is important. You need to appreciate them from afar and leave nature alone.

Actually. they are endangered but no where near as bad as many other animals, such as other prestoric seeming creatures like the coelacanth and many exotic birds.
