You have proven far more helpful with this one video than numerous sites claiming to teach an invisible stitch. This was my third time attempting to create a pillow and I was finally successful. Thank you
First time that I have been able to do this properly thanks to your wonderful video! Thank you so much for being so thorough and showing how to sew up those openings.
Thank you so much for making this video! It was so easy to follow 8D I've started learning how to make plushies and this is going to be such a great help for closing up after filling them with stuffing.
@IZrocks1000 haha! we had to do a few takes ourselves to keep from cracking up :) i am SEW excited your home ec class watched my video! i'm also excited to know they still teach home ec! where is your school?
TY! I know this is waaay late after the posting of this video, but I have been killing myself trying to figure out how to close a pillow and this is by far THE absolute easiest and clearest video I've found. This will make my doll and pillow making much easier :)
This was really helpful for me, because I was trying to make a doll but had no idea how to do the stitches in a tutorial a friend gave me! Thank you for making this video!
thanks so much for posting this! I just finished making a stuffed t-rex for my boyfriend for Christmas and its my first time using a pattern, this is so helpful because I got to the last step and it said "ladder stitch" and I hadn't the slightest on what to do! Now its adorable and fuzzy and finished!
Thanks so much for your instruction. Very good to see it used on two colors of fabric and how the stitch/seam becomes invisible when properly finished.
@nall29 Looks like the baseball stitch leaves a visible stitching on the outside which makes kind of a herringbone pattern of stitches. The Henson stitch (named for Jim Henson puppet making) seems to be a more dense stitch which is super strong and used on fleecy or furry fabrics to hide the seam so the puppets look smoother on camera.
@StitchLabSewing 5 thank u so much i think i can use this in my puppet building. i was just alittle confused on the differences between what i was looking up
Thank you so much! I am making the Emmeline Apron from SewLiberated...and was almost going to skip the last part where she suggested the ladder stitch and just machine stitch it...but you made it so clear, I guess I will hand stitch after all! Thank you for the tutorial :)
Thank you very much, this was a really easy to follow tutorial and I'm so happy I now understand how to do an invisible seam! My pillows thank you as well! :)
Thanks, Leslie! You've done a TERRIFIC job demonstrating and describing this. I'm very pleased to be able to link to this from my Boutique Narelle's feature on "Ways to Use a Small Piece of Fabric" -- Scarf Types and Tie Tricks.

whats the difference between this stitch and the baseball stitch or the "henson stitch"
