Celtic have got great friends in Barca Villareal Benfica and Milan. We have supporters clubs in Villareal and Barca because they enjoyed Celtic's fans company in Spain even when they where defeated. Over 100 thousand celts went to Seville and not one bit o trouble occured we sang after defeat that's fans. We are friends with Celtic. We share the same song. And we appreciate the support Celtic gave us after Hillsborough.

To end all arguments about who had the song first. Here is the true statement, it's on WikiPedia and also other notable music web sites:
"The song is also sung at football clubs around the world, where it is performed by a massed chorus of supporters on matchday; this tradition began at Liverpool F.C. in the early 1960s and later spread to several other clubs."
Liverpool first had it. Other clubs try to get the same magical effect. There is just something special about Liverpool :)

jerry marsden (leader of jerry and the pacemakers) was on the radio yesterday. and said he sung it at anfield when he first brought the song out. and all the fans sung along. and they've played it at anfield ever since. surely that means it was liverpools song first, not celtics.

celtic does it better. they sacrifice volume for singing properly. it sounds like a loud of drunks singing. consider singing a song as loud as you can listen to it and sing it quieter and see the difference thats what the kop version is like compared to celtics. yes it was original to liverpool but its a song. they don't have exclusive use of it. who cares which clubs sing it. imagine if israeli teams sang jude! what would spurs supporters think?!
