  • you always want to clean it first:)

  • Sick bro, so i have a snes but is dirty an yellow, can i just paint over it? or do i have to clean it?

  • Those SNES's seem to get discoloured a lot

  • OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!!! LEGEND OF ZELDA TRIFORCE SNES GAME SYSTEM!!! OHhhhh *faints*

  • Why did you wreck your systems

  • @szymborski11

Read the description. "dirty, discolored SNES consoles that were beyond restoration"

  • Only beaners like thisshiy

  • Get a life snes troll

  • Faggits only like this crap anes

  • that sens doesn't have custom paint you just beat some one to death to it

  • 0:32 i guess some one was DIEING to play the SNES

  • Do u know how to fix a snes controller port?

  • Hey L1, been watching the channel for a few months now and i'm loving it!!! Anyway i'm thinking of customising my GBA console but I may need some help and ideas (I know your the expert). I just want to know what the best paint/screwdrivers are for it and since it will be my first mod just some general tips for a noob like me. Anyway great vid, loving november rain in the background.

  • White one is dope

  • Dude why did you spill paint on it?

  • no matter how cool they look i would never buy a broken snes just because its painted

  • @TheMarioo0

They consoles were operationally fine. it was the case that could not be refurbished.

  • November Rain :D

  • DUDE YOU HAVE AWESOME TASTE IN MUSIC GNR IS COMING TO DALLAS NOV. 5 I THINK ITS GONNA RAIN SO THEY BETTER PLAY NOVEMBER RAIN!!!!!!!?

  • ewwww

  • That is one bloody ass SNES.

  • I understand where you're coming from in terms of the Jackson Pollock look, but you HAD to have known you'd catch flak for it. After all, Pollock HIMSELF was not well received for that particular art style. Artists hated him, art critics didn't get it, and the general public thought it was just plain hideous. It wasn't until the DADA movement got going that anyone paid him any attention and really... the results of doing it on a console show. At least the bloody one's cool!

  • @ThyDungeonman2

You're right. I knew there would be some who didn't get it. But it's amazing how close minded and ignorant they can be about it. LOL

  • @L1Games It can be staggering, really. Still, kudos to you for taking a risk aesthetically. Not my cup of tea, the Pollock's, but there's bound to be someone who loves it. I see they've already sold, so commercially they're a success! Too bad I don't have any SNES games anymore, or I'd be eyeing a commish of that bloodsplatter look. Love it.

  • @ThyDungeonman2

I like to try different things. In the end, you're right, each of these sold to happy gamers so I was glad I did them:) I'm glad there are people like you who can appreciate them, even if they aren't your cup of tea:) (and can communicate that effectively and politely!)

  • thumbs up for gunz n roses in the back ground... keep it old school :)

  • Sell me one of those (as long as if they work).

  • @kibjohn

    Sorry, they've already sold:(

  • those look so awesome

  • This video was awesome. I have a discolored snes and I have been looking into case mods including paint jobs. What type paint do you use for your designs?

  • the 3rd is my fav! good job.

  • 0:19 looks eatable

  • do they still work?

  • I like the second one but the first and third ones look crap, no offence

  • Yes they are ugly : (

  • @123doomdoom

Still waiting for one of you haters to post something better. Especially one of you who have posted nothing at all. LOL

  • @L1Games We don't have to post anything bro, and It does not take much to recognize a good design as other videos have set the basis for comparison. Sorry that you can't take any criticisms. It's part of life man. peace.

  • @123doomdoom

So no, you cant do what I do then? Thats what I figured.

Maybe you need inspiration. For more ideas of what L1 Does (with modding systems), Be sure to check out the Twilight princess Wii. AT-AT Gamecube, Super Mario Sunshine Gamecube, and many other mods we've done.

Then before you talk smack to those who do what you can't. learn the difference between constructive criticism and being a rude douchebag. I think you've failed to learn the subtleties of giving proper criticism.

  • These consoles are sexy.

  • looks shit bro next time dont put your nintendo close to the window.

  • @RuneScapeMMO

    Looks like you're an idiot.

These consoles were traded into my store already damaged and discolored. instead of trashing or ripping them apart, I painted them.

If you think they're shit, please be sure to post the ones you've done that are better.

  • @L1Games looks like your bad at lying next time dont put your nintendo close to the window btw your painting is shit and ill be sure to post a video of mine soon dont get mad if i own you tho =)

  • @RuneScapeMMO

Um, I guess you failed to check out this channel. It's about my store. You lose.

I guess you also fail to realize that the yellowing is due to faulty ABS plastic that made them sensitive to oxidization and UV light. Even with a lack of sunlight. A great deal of SNES consoles yellowed no matter what.

You fail as a knowledgeable gamer .

Also, be sure to check out this channel and the other console mods I've done. You couldn't touch my work on your best day.

  • @L1Games Muzz, ignore him, he's just trolling you. Trolls feed off of anger.

  • @ImThatRussianGuy

It's all good. Luckily, I don't get angry. LOL

  • Just curious, what was your method of painting around the controller ports and back panel? I just painted my first SNES as a gift to my mom and ended up leaving ports alone because I didn't want to risk stray paint getting on the pins or circuit board they are connected to. Still looked awesome though.

  • @miserabliss

the plastic around the controller ports clips right of the circuitry off and you can paint it as you please:)

  • the bloody one is cool

  • I like the 1st one it looks really nice I am also working on a custom paint system

  • They look awesome, Good job.

  • love the Bloody SNES

  • damn there nice ;) wish i still had a snes ufortunatly it was sold way back wen the ps1 came out :( had a mastersystem 2 with sonic and we smashed it when we were little :(

what style of snes is that ? my snes was more rounded then that?

  • that red one looked really fucking nice, the other was good also but not better in my personal opinion

  • @Coughranbranden

the red is also my favorite of the 3

  • These are actually really cool! \>U</

  • Those are awesome. I'd rather pay whatever SNES' are going for on eBay for these ones. The first ones wicked awesome. Keep up the good work, man.

  • the snes from europe looks nicer than the usa version

  • @MrRagingbovine i would have to disagree even though i'm from europe. The switch on the nes is very annoying and easily brakes i would much prefer a button, also it would be alot easier to have the controller slots in the top rather than the front it means i could put other things in front of it instead of having my snes at the front of all my consoles.

  • 0:27 EVIDENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Extremely bad ass, I like the red splatter one the best, imo.

  • Those are sick! Idk why people have to hate? Haters will hate I guess..

  • i am confused do you mean these are all broken?? :(

  • @acomicmuffin1

No. they were completely operational, but the cases were very damaged and discolored. so I did atheistic case mods.

  • did you take a shit on the first one and on the second one did you have your period all over it.

  • @allman2006

I rubbed the first one on your mothers ass crack and then bashed her head against the second one.

How about next time you have something negative to say, you post the awesome and superior Mods you've done so we can all see them? oh....you haven't done any? That's what I thought.

Weak ass internet tough guys like you make me laugh. just another pansy hiding behind a monitor acting like he's special. Must suck to know that you aren't.

  • I like the blood splattered snes. You should make a SAW themed one, with bathroom tile texture and blood splattered on it.

    That would be amazing.

  • Where is this store

  • the last 2 where kick ass

  • OMG why do poeple hate on this i think this is sick i would buy one if i live near your store but i dont :(

  • OMG THE FIRST ONE IS SIIICK!! and btw november rain WOOT

  • Comment removed

  • I like the SNES with the white, black, and read splatter...looks like you latterly KILLED to get that system from back in the day, and now it is exhibit A for your impending trial..great work man....

  • I have to admit, I don't like any of them. But what ever floats your boat is fine I guess.

  • @thehackerz101

    to each their own

  • Just wanted to say that after stumbling upon your facebook channel, im wanting to alter my SNES, NES and other various consoles that you have done. brilliant work and they all look beautiful!

  • way awesome bro!

  • Ruined!

  • @trickstaboy

if you paid any attention at all, you'd know they were ruined long before I got hold of them and brought them back to life.

  • the last one was sick!

  • I like this. It's nice to see that someone is intent on keeping the old stuff around and Besides. Halo edition xbox? Pikachu N64? There's been system mods for years. These show a lot of potential and I like a lot.

  • What is the song in the background?

  • I love SNES and your paint jobs are freaking AWESOME. I feel like doing something like that to my PS1... but I'm too chicken. I did take it apart once to try to mod it with a chip to play japanese games but ... I couldn't figure it out.

  • just a suggestion, I'd take the controllers apart and take the buttons out before you paint them. They would look much better that way. Additionally, everything would look much better with a clear coat. The console look fine as is, but the paint jobs on the controllers will wear off before too long with normal use without a clear coat, and probably feel pretty sticky too.

  • @Levirules

I did take the controllers apart. notice the buttons, d-pad, select and start buttons are their original colors. then i put them back together for the splatter so it would look consistent. There is a clear coat on all of these consoles and controllers:)

  • AMAZING!

  • What's with all the hate people, stop being giant squids of anger!

The bloody one looked the best ;)

  • Nice redesigns. The "OJ's Nintendo" design is probably my favorite, it looks like something that would look perfect in the collection of a horror movie/game fan's TV room.

And for everyone who is complaining about the rarity of the SNES system, it is a very common system. Go to a shop that specializes in older consoles and you'll be surprised at how many working SNES and Super Famicom systems that they have.

  • Very nice work! Awesome background song too :D

  • @ShaneDawsonisafag0

I block bitch ass trolls. Buh bye loser;)

  • YEAH RIGHT

  • @MEXICANMADESTWR

Exactly right. I've been in the video game retail business, refurbishing and rebuilding consoles for 11+ years now. It's what I do. I've refurbed Thousands of consoles for gamers over those years. if you want your grandkids to enjoy classic games someday, I'm the type of guy who makes it happen.

and yes, the SNES isn't a rare console. in fact, the Gamecube and N64 are actually less common than the SNES. Dont try to tell me my business. I'll serve you every time.

  • @MEXICANMADESTWR I know Muzz (Not IRL) and he would NEVER fix a system that is already fine. He has to have a good reason. I bet you the systems were all yellowing terribly and had no chance of the yellow ever being removed, so he did the most logical thing. If you're going to paint it, don't just paint it one solid color with cheap spray paint, let your mind do the painting and express your art on any console you're painting, as long as you have a clear idea of what you are going to paint on it

  • THARE GOES THE CHANCE OF MY GRAND KIDS OWNING A SNES THANKS ALOT IDIOT!!

  • @MEXICANMADESTWR

The only idiot here is the one who failed to read the description. (that would be you.)

These consoles were damaged beyond restoration. they were good for nothing more than spare parts. I brought them back to life. I SAVED them so another gamer can enjoy them.

FYI, there were 50 million SNES consoles produced. Your grand kids (God forbid you reproduce.) will be able to get one regardless.

Learn your facts about rare consoles before you talk smack to me.

  • the reason peopleget pissed off is becuase the more people that do stuff like this to SNES consoles and games that 1 less out there and they become rareer and rarer

  • @SeGaSaTuRn1994

those people fail to understand 2 things.

    1. The consoles I mod are abused beyond restoration and were already off the market. That is until I breathed new life into them.

    2. There were about 50 million SNES consoles manufactured. they are never going to be "rare. "

  • I don't see why anyone would care if someone paints a fucking snes it is just a snes I threw 3 of them out last week and still have 4 of the damn things they are a dime a dozen.

  • i LIKE IT!

  • @TheOldJapsEye

you know what, after looking at your channel, I see that you're just an idiot troll. I'm already done with you. Bye.

  • @TheOldJapsEye

Like I said before, When you can do something better, post it. I want you to Take a massively damaged system and show me what you can do to bring it back to life. then come talk shit. till then, your opinion is worthless.

By the way, the people who bought these consoles are totally happy with them. as are the people who have purchased my other aesthetically modded consoles. (of which I've posted many more videos)

  • @TheOldJapsEye

so, cracked, discolored and gouged cases with no value are what you consider "cosmetically original"? LOL. you simply don't know what you're talking about. I've refurbished Thousands of consoles for my clientele over the last 11+ years. These were beyond that.

When you can do something better, feel free to post it. But coming from someone whos posted ZERO videos and obviously incredibly rude. I'm not too concerned with your worthless opinion.

  • @TheOldJapsEye No YOU are crap. Seriously, lots of people think these are great, just because you have the artistic taste of a 4 year old doesn't mean everyone else has. Jeez. damn trolls.

  • @TheOldJapsEye I'm looking through my old Japs eye and they still look amazing.

  • @TheOldJapsEye

They were already destroyed. that's the point braniac. and yes, with a super famicom, I would do a paint job if the case was no good. The Idea is that rather than tear the system apart, I do something with it that makes it desirable to someone again. each of these consoles were sold to gamers who value and play them. that's more than can be said for what would have happened to them had I torn them down for spare parts.

  • @L1Games

I have a standard for the items I refurbish and sell (Thats thousands of consoles over the last 11+ years) Sometimes they've been abused so badly that I've had to use textured paint to cover the gouges and cracks in the original shell. what would you suggest I do with that system? I cant put it on the shelf looking like it did when I took it in and I have a back room filled with spare parts already. so I do something original and different that some gamers seem to like a lot.

  • Meh, not really indicative of Pollock. Pollock was more than just 'splattering paint'.

  • @7on

You make the same mistake that a lot of people make when they see his work. just assuming that I "splattered paint" I spent a lot of time and put a lot of effort into getting these just right artistically. some of the splatters were done by making individual drops on the console. (and some were flicked) but all were thought about, prepared, and specific.

I'm no Pollock and I realize that I'm not going to touch his work or anything. But more went into these than you realize.

  • do you still do this? or have you moved on? if you do, do you take orders?

  • wow. these are effing brilliant! i want one (SNES is my fav console) but looks like they're all sold out.

  • 4 letters describe these mods. E, P, I and C!!!!!!

  • They looked amazing I loved them. Also loved the whole retro feel of the vid with November Rain playing in the background haha.

  • Why the hell are people hating on this That bloody one was epic.

  • Guns N'Roses... good job

  • Mad props to you! I'm more of a stripes person, but after the few systems I painted I can understand the kind of talent it takes to do this. Also, what kind of paint did you use? I use spray paint but there's no way you could get that kind of spatter with spray paint.

  • lol @ 1.10--''each of these were discoloured or damaged to the point that they were beyond restoration''---(they were fine until some looney fired fuckin paint all over em) pmsl

  • @ourdill

I'm sorry, do you need clarification? They could not be resold as they were. after I finished these, they each sold for $100+

so how about this? Post your own amazing mods (or a single video of your own) before you puke up any more stupidity.

  • @L1Games yawns at L1Games--sorry im far to busy with 'real life' to do anything like that--try it sometime??

  • @ourdill

You mean something "real" like owning and operating a successful business? (which is what this channel is all about.) How about having a family and balancing a social life? yep, I manage that too.

I'm neck deep in real life bud.

For future reference, when you TRY to diss someones work, be sure you

    1. Can do something better

    2. Have half a clue what you're talking about.

    you fail on both counts.

  • Ya know, I bought a really dirty SNES from a pawn shop and I was able to clean it up with a magic eraser it was awesome! Plus it also gets rid of peoples annoying initials that they previously had put on their games. But, you sir are a genious

  • I did somfin like that once to a broken PS2 i found outside on a sidewalk with OLD controllers and stuff ..... but i made it look sorta like tron... then i sold it for 20 bucks to my old neighbor..... bad mistake :C

  • THAT is BEAUTIFUL! Love it!

  • love the bloody splatter console.

  • hey muzz I was wondering, have u ever done a customized gameboy or considered it? I recently took up the project and only hade mediocre result and was thinking if anyone could do it right it would be muzz.

  • lol it looks like he sneezed on the consoles..... why do that? cant you get a uniform finish without covering it up with shit?

  • @freewaystate1

Maybe you failed to read the description OR the annotations. Do you even know who Jackson Pollock is? Just one of the greatest abstract expressionists ever. that's the inspiration for these consoles. Maybe you should work on your comprehension skills.

You also must have missed my other mods that have "Uniform" paint jobs and custom airbrush.

If you're going to be an idiot and troll my videos, then you can at least watch them and be fully informed before you spew stupidity.

  • @L1Games Did you really do a splatter or did you paint it to look like a splatter?

  • @L1Games And if splatter what did you use to do that?

  • @opp861

I actually splattered it. basically I threw paint at it. LOL

  • @ the blood splatter one, Could you imagine someone having that in their living room, forgetting they bought it with that paint job, sitting down to play it, look at it and then they say, "Aww shiiit... Who got blood on my Nintendo?"

No? Meh, I thought it was funny. LOL

  • That blood console reminds me of dragon age. Good stuff!

  • not cool

  • I like the middle one the best. It reminds me of the graphic design style that was so popular in the early 90's, and seems really appropriate. Keep up the good work. Oh and some advice: Don't bother to reply to all the hater trolls whose own systems are probably missing the A/C adaptor and in a tangle of cheetoh encrusted-controller cables who say you are disrespecting the system. What you are doing is cool, I might paint my yellow SNES because of this.

  • What type of paint did you use. Does it matter?

  • Oh, and nice work man. They look bitchin'.

  • @NemmyLadyZombie

    Thanks:)

  • @L1Games please answer this l1games im 14 and im trying to paint my snes im good at custumizing systems but the problem i have is the part that says super nintendo what do i do just paint over it ?

  • @TheHellsangel63

    remove them.

  • Jesus fucking christ what is with all the intense hate? He's just painting consoles.... you can buy a SNES on ebay for 5 bucks anyway, what the fuck is the point of getting so pissed off? Maybe if it were an Atari or a Coleco vision, then the hate would be merited, but a SNES? And he mentioned countless times that they were already worthless to begin with. He just made trash look pretty. Fuck. Everyone go take a dump, you need to loosen up.

  • @NemmyLadyZombie

Someone gets it!!! You just made it into my cool book. LOL

  • @NemmyLadyZombie U speak teh truthz!!!!! so Keep speakin yo!!!!!!! :D

  • @NemmyLadyZombie The hate probably comes from highly unoriginal custom jobs, they look pretty awful, it's the equivalent of take a thing of paint and throwing it on a canvas.

If hes into that then cool for him, but if you don't like criticism don't post shit online.

  • @smro00 How about if you don't like what someone posts online don't fucking comment on it. Hows that?

  • @NemmyLadyZombie Agreed. LOL

  • @smro00 Oh, and for the record, taking paint and throwing it on a canvas IS art. It's called expressionism.

  • @NemmyLadyZombie No, it's not.

taking a shit and throwing it at a tree isn't art, that's the equivalent to expressionism right? so if a mentally challenged person who has no concept of expressionism takes a can of paint, doesn't know its paint and throws it it's expressionism? give me a break kid.

  • @smro00

actually, yes, it is art. expressionism is absolutely a form of art no matter how it's acvcomplished. just because you don't consider something art, doesn't mean it isn't. you obviously know very little about it.

  • @smro00

Highly unoriginal? I chose to do this this way because there is nothing else like it. How on earth is that unoriginal? And what I did with these consoles was FAR more than "Throwing paint". each bit of work done on these was calculated and intended.

  • fuck i want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @XGCKrazyK

GREAT job, your fucking worthless now you dick!He did a really good job on the snes's and they look teriffic.Go fuck your self if your going to be another a hole hater.

  • how much would u give mi 4 my dsi

  • Comment removed

  • @XGCKrazyK

You're an Idiot. Obviously the words "Beyond restoration" in the description escaped you.

you also seemed to miss the annotation at the 1:09 mark that says

"I never recommend modding consoles that can be refurbished to their original state"

These consoles were damaged and discolored beyond restoration and I customized them in order to save them.

Comprehension is your friend. maybe you should learn to embrace it.

  • @XGCKrazyK you are an idiot

  • Nice work man! I've got a discolored SNES that I'm going to try and paint (my first attempt). Don't let the haters get you down (which I'm sure you don't). Good work can never become great without controversy and criticism.

  • I love the blood splattered looking one. If you sold it for a reasonable price I would buy.

  • I love the blood splattered looking one.

  • HOLY CRAP!!! THOSE ARE SICK!!!!!1!!!!

  • i'm only paying attention to the guns n roses, sorry.........

  • guns n roses november rain in the backround

  • crap. watch out people. I'm so ignorant now.

  • @Aquafina121

It's OK, I understand ignorance like yours. Mom and dad didn't know how to raise a kid and ended up with you because of it. I'd feel bad for them but I don't worry too much about white trash. This is exactly the reason incest is illegal.

Anyway, feel free to post anything you've done that's better... oh yeah...you can't.

and be sure to keep checking out my videos and increasing my view counts. LOL

  • I think they all look awesome!!

  • I don't like sticky controllers/consoles... are they sticky?

  • @TheSouthernPatriot

    Not in the least.

  • @L1Games lol the second one looks like a god of war edition nice job with painting or whatever you did

  • sorry repost the pc froze and it did it twice :c

  • i already know what you think of gamestop but what about online retailers like amazon?

  • i already know your stance on gamestop but what do u think of buying games on online sites like amazon?

  • wow the blood splatter one is EPIC.

  • I actually like the splatter work definetly the white and red one

  • how much do you sell one of those consoles??.... i miss the old days

  • i like the blood splattered one!, i customized my SNES console too! turned out pretty; i hope to get a picture/video up soon!

  • I like the red one..lol

  • Looks really cool man. nice Job. :)

  • that looks cool but in the end it only ruins the actual console, besides if the paint gets chipped ur pretty much screwed unless you're and epic console painter

  • @abcpat100

Take the time to read the description next time.

It clearly says that I Painted/modded these consoles because they were beyond restoration. It doesn't ruin a console. it brings it back to life. These consoles would have been scrap had I not modded them.

They are very durable. they have been sanded, primed, painted and then clear coated. if well taken care of, there should be no chipping at all.

  • love the blood splattered one.

  • Nice work, shown to a nice song, November Rain by GNR.
