@estrella1101 Does your GLO have Greek Gods on their shield? I ask because that seems to be one of the things @rahim4411 is referring to when saying that the GLO's worship pagan gods. A Crest reps the org and what they stand for. Also, its impossible to serve both the org and God with all of your heart, all of your soul and all of your mind. If I'm not mistaken some of the GLO's require that intakes make this pledge to the org and not God as stated in Matt 22:37. Food for thought. Take care.

I can only speak on behalf of the things I KNOW and have experienced with my own being. I have never been a member of a white sorority or business sorority or multicultural sorority, etc. I have my opinion of those organizations but theyre just opinion and speculation. I was, however, a member of alpha kappa alpha for 5 years and i know first hand what God delivered me from. Its ungodly, its not rooted in anything even remotely Christian, and it does not line up with scripture.

@SiimplyGawgeouz1 Here are some scriptures for you (1) Old Testiment: Leviticus 5:1,4-5, and (2) New Testiment Matthew 5:34-34. You can reference other scriptures at denouncegreek.webs.com. But you're right everyone doesn't party or drink but EVERYONE pledges a secret oath. There is NOTHING that these orgs do that make them Christian. Not one thing. However Humanism is more a more appropriate category because you are not witnessing to lost souls; you're just doing 'good' things.

One should not join an org that they won't be committed to or be a lifelong member.  Greek life is not for everyone. What was the right choice for me may not be a good fit for another woman. I'm just going to go off of what star said and it's great that you started your own org, however sweetie, please realize that Greek Life is NOT for everyone & that every organization is different. I'm sorry that you weren't impressed by the chapters on your campus, but be careful to not judge the organization as a whole. I wish you the best.
