I need help on carp.... Do they bite lures that look like minnows? I haven't fished for carp but today I saw a monster up here in NY and want to know how to catch it.
Im from the UK and apologise on behalf of this retarded fishing nation. Everything is orientated by Carp, The predators over here are pretty much getting killed off because people want CARP to thrive. So its not hard to see why idiots like Nick01202 are quick to back them up without any knowledge of your ecosystem.. I don't understand why they are such a pest in your country though? Surely the baramundi find them a nice snack... I wouldnt mind having carp jump on my lures though, be good fun.
Those of us educated in a little global angling know Carp have to be killed in Australia, but if you had any respect for the millions of anglers globally that fish for carp and treat them with the utmost respect, seeing them back alive in prime condition, you would not post videos such as this up on here.You ALWAYS kill a fish respectfully, with a clean blow to the skull, or by cutting behind the head through the spinal cord, not by beating the thing to death!

The only good Carp is a DEAD carp. Just read through the comments on this video. The only support you are going to get is from your Carp loving countrymen. Stay there and worship these pieces of crap. We will do our best to get rid of every last one of them.
I noticed also your casting accuracy. When lure casting i reckon casting is everything. Whether its casting bladed spinners for trout, or hard bodied lures for cod, or anything in between, the ability to cast accurately is what determines how many fish you catch. Just watching your casting style i reckon you would catch a lot of fish. This is a fantastic video on many levels.

Nice video. I like to catch them on fly rod here in the USA. I agree they should be killed in alot of instances as they are not native and have done much damage. They are great sport but killing a few isn't hurting thier population at all and is only for the betterment of all of us.

Idiot hey...Well if you did your research (like looking up my profile) you would realise that I am located in Australia. Carp are declared a noxious pest in Australia and by law, they MUST be killed. It is illegal to release them (dead or alive) back into the water as well.
So they get killed, then discarded in an area where they cant do any more harm to our rivers. The damage they cause is extreme, and every pure aussie fisherman out there rejoices in killing them.
