Yes, definitely! Just cook the rice according to the instructions on the package, and use the same amount of cooked rice as the instant rice makes. Thanks for asking!
Hi, I wanted to let you know an even more simple variation of this recipe that I have been doing for about 5 years. My family is large and each like different vegetables, so instead of broccolli, I use a 28 oz bag of california blend. Also, to make it quick, I simply put the whole bag of frozen vegetables in a casserole dish, and drop the cheeze whiz , in spoonfuls, on top( a whole jar) and cover. I cook it on 350 for 30 minutes then stir. Then add topping & cook about 15 more minutes. SIMPLE
betty I'm a 26 year old guy who is goin to college and you saved me from eating horrible cooking lol thank you for teaching me how to cook gourmet meals on the fly. Thank you very much
When using *fresh* broccoli, *definitely* wash it! I used frozen broccoli, which has been processed in a procedure that includes thorough washing. Any *frozen* vegetable is meant to be used straight from the freezer with no washing or other preparation. Thanks for your question!
Yes, you need to get them done to the point where they are tender-crisp. The oven cooking time is not enough to keep them from tasting and crunching like raw vegetables. Nice to hear from you!
