I use the WiFi teather to play my Wii online "black ops" mostly and with 4g it works fine with 3g it will work bit it lags a lot and you get kick off every once I'm a wile ....just little fyi

Phone has to be rooted for FREE tethering to work. Rooting = hacked or whatever else you want to call it lol.

The phone already comes with a paid tethering app installed.

Don't use the Wifi Tether in the Market!

Go to there site the link is on the bottom of the app info in the Market. The one in the market does not work!! It shows up in Wifi as a computer link.

Go to the download tab on there site and get the updated version that one works! YOU HAVE TO HAVE ROOT TO USE!

The newer version as it says "EXPERIMENTAL" so it can crash your phone.

WOW!! I have been trying to do this for the last couple nights. I just rooted it and I'm pretty new to the scene. But this vid was excellent. I had a previous version downloaded. (2.0.2). I downloaded the newest version for my phone via your link and everything worked exactly as said! I'm am connected via wi-fi tether right now!! Thanks a ton!!

Do you even know what phone you are using? Secondly yes, you can root with 2.2. Or another easy way is to downgrade to 2.1 with patch 5 not 6. And you can root at a touch of a button. Its pretty easy.

@redneck500 Sprint does not want you to root. they will block it at all costs. Its free as well but right now there is no 2.2 root hack out there. and the 10 a month extra cost is unlimited 3g/4g

There has been updates, did you root? Thats usually the first thing i would look at. if you are then update it. google wireless tethering for EVO and you will find the download.

for what iv seen no, its not slower or faster. and backup is not needed. Its not like your normal recovery rooting. Its just a program to gain that root. So its normal and Emulat away!
