  • SNES had bigger palette and better sound but its processor was nowhere near as fast as the Megadrive/Genesis (there's no way the SNES could handle Thunderforce IV). MD processor was twice the speed of the SNES, that's why the MD was the platform of choice for shoot em' ups.

  • @Relugus yeh im replying to an old post, but to clarify things a little, the SNES had a slower core processor than the MD yeh, but the cartridges on the SNES had their own reprogrammable co-processors giving it a much bigger advantage in power, the core was so the cartridge could interact with the rest of the system. As you see in the video the MD version lower FPS than the SNES version. MD games were limited to 1 processor. The SNES could handle all and more that the MD could im afraid

  • @Primalvids well, MD could work with more than one co-processor have you ever seen virtua racing...I can't see great advantage having more pallete color...Look! how many colors you can distinguish at time...so don't matter if you have 32,000 or 16,000,000 like psp...the important thing is the definition...in this case snes has more than MD...and only co-processor that MD didn't have like snes is around sound.

  • @tonmasboy Nope, the MD could only utilize a co-processor through an addon like the 32x. The SNES had extra co-processors in the game cartidges! Starwing, stuntrace fx and some others even had a 3d capable CPU in the cartidges. You need to stop living in denial, the colour pallet is a major thing and the MD could only display 256 colours at any one time, the SNES could display 32000....cant see no advantage of more colours...lol are you nuts?

  • @Primalvids I don't know how old you are...But genesis has a game called virtua racing able to draw 3D polygon faster than stuntrace FX through a co-processor named SVP by sega from samsung inside catridge. About snes is able to display 256 colours at time while MD 64...The only advantage is if I could distinguish all when I was playing...So I continue to say that what increase the power of snes is resolution that bring bigger and detailed sprites and backgrounds.

  • This actually looks pretty cool for a megadrive game I did play the original SF2 on my megadrive once I liked some of the music more than the snes cause of the awesome bass type music, but I'd rather stick to the snes and other versions.

  • Woah. Graphically this version looks really impressive. I wonder if the Snes or this version is better?

  • Fantastic graphics and colors in Mega Drive!, I love this version.

  • the audio in this version was horrible, and thats coming from a diehard Megadrive and Street Fighter fan.

Guess all the effort went towards graphics
