  • THIS is one of the BEST videos I've seen on here. I just found this vid this morning and I gave it a try. What a difference it made my hair. LOVE THE RESULTS!!! Would not have ever thought my type 4bc (mostly) would look as great as it does. Was so impressed after watching this TUT I did my hair and it's raining outside. Just couldn't wait. Thanks you SO MUCH for this very informative styling technic. I've Subscribed, and Love you for this. HUGE Hugs. :DDD

  • thanks for posting! i really wanna try this method because your hair seems a little fluffier than when i use my ecostyler gel for wash n goes. i'm tired of the crunch, hopefully this method will work for me! i just subbed :)

  • i like your first hair style with the fro puff, awesome. The end result.. i'm blown away

  • This video was very informative...Your hair became 2x the size it was from when you got out the shower!! My question is how do you maintain this style for a week, without messing up the curls when you sleep?

  • Wow this vid is hot.. I would of never thought to tie my head down.. My wash and goes always look a mess I will have to try this way.. I'm subbing and going to watch more of ur vids..

  • omg. you have similarly hair type. I just got a diffuser. Your hair looks beautiful. Thank you!

  • wow i am def going to try this. i can never get away with wash n gos since my hair frizzes so easily and looks like a jheri curl as you put it lol. can you please tell me how you maintain this style at night and revive it the next day please?

    thank you for your time

  • I do this everyday during the summer. I let my hair air dry and it looks great!

  • i heard its better to run your fingers down your hair and flatten the section/strand out, rather than finger-combing.

  • i love your hair soooo much

  • I never knew what a diffuser was for, this video taught me. THANKS!!! Your hair looks awesome!

  • Wow!! Very Cute!!

  • does your hair stay soft even with the gels/other products

and what type of diffuser/blow dryer did u use cuz i really want to gey one

  • How long have you been doing this method? Just wondering because I get tired of twisting my hair and would like to see if this would work permanently.

  • @Samielle1 I usually do this when its warm outside (summer & spring)....I have found other ways to get stretched wash and goes, like braiding the roots or banding..I do this when I want more of a fro...

  • Wow, your fro is so hot. I wish my hair curled that tight.

  • OMG THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO! I'm so going buy a blow dryer so i can do this style.. you and I have just about the same hair type! Yay im so excited!

  • beutiful!

  • great tutorial.

  • Finally!!! I'm soo going to get a new blow dryer w/ the attachments and do this style! I usually rely on the twistout to get this effect, not it's never this defined. I can't wait. Thanks so much, Nike. You have a new sub. Now I'm gonna watch the makeup tuts lol

  • This is so cute! I can't wait for my hair to get to that length.

  • I wish I'd seen this back in October when I was doing my wash-and-go experiments. My texture is quite a bit tighter than yours but I was already doing the steps you did in the "wet" portion of your video and they REALLY make my curls and coils pop. The problem came with the drying...and the extreme shrinkage. I ended up buying a blow dryer with a concentrator but not a diffuser because I didn't see how a diffuser could work for me. Now I may see if I can find an attachment. Thanks!

  • thanks alot! I just want to say that your videos, are wonderful, and quick to the point. This is one of the most helpful videos i have watched on you tube. Thanks

  • WOW.. your hair turned out great!.. I wonder about the heat daily...??.. maybe some heat protective serum or something.. you look really pretty.. Thanks ..I can't wait till my hair grows out so I can try this.. I also got referred by oops 95.

  • thank you hun!!, and I most definately dont do this daily, I want my wash and goes to last me a whole week, most of the time I let it air dry but I diffuse when I dont want to walk around with a wet head on the first day.....;-)

  • WOW I didnt know it was gonna get that much bigger! nice! thanks for the help, ;-)

  • Yes my shrinkage is crazy, right now im almost at APL and you would never know because of it lol...thanx for watching and I'm glad I was able to help you...;-)

  • Awesome. MAY sound a little rediculous but I was not aware of the correct way to use the diffuser to get these results. Thank you had to subscribe awesome, GREAT JOB!!!

  • omg!! i used to leave in regular conditioner when i wanted my hair to stay curly... UNTiLL my hair dresser told me it was stripping my hair &+ causing massive dammage =[ i dnt want that to happen to yu =[

  • Our hair tends to be more on the dry side, and we need moisture, conditioner gives us that while leaving out hair more pliable, even after drying. Shampoo is what strips our hair of moisture because of the detergent -like ingredients in most of them.

There are plenty of naturals that leave conditioner and their hair is just fine.....type in "conditioner only method"...or check out the link in the description of this video, for more detail of what conditioner will do fo your hair...;-)

  • i had to subcribe after this 1, GOOD JOB

  • thank you...;-)

  • wow love it #

  • imo - you should use a heat protectant product. seems like you'll still get heat damage if you do this daily.

  • Of course the hair is susceptive to damage by any kind of heat. I forgot to mention that in the video but I do not do this daily. I do this when I dont feel like walking around with a wet head on the first day of a wash n go, most of the time I let it air dry...;-) thanx for the advice though

  • OMG!!!! You don't know how much you have helped me sistah!! I hate having my hair wet half or all day but i didn't know what to do about it. Thank you for this video i had to add it to my favorites. FAB

  • Oh Wow - That style is too cute - I love it! Thanks for the video

  • Excellent tips~~ I am so glad I watched. I got referred by oops95...just in time for winter. Thanks my sister!

  • WOW!!! Thank u soo much, your hair is FIERCE!!!! U really know how 2 make your kurls POPPPPP!!!

  • You and your hair are gorgeous girl! Rock it!

  • Gurrrrrl, you are a Godsend!! On tonite, i cowashed and used the kinky curly curling custard while sopping wet and achieved wondrous curls n coils. I realllllly didn't like the wet roots thing, and thank goodness for your vid! i was about to give up that style becuz i figured it takes too long to dry. I put to use that awesome ceramic blowdryer with the diffuser and concentrator attachment and voila! Dry AND coily. I'll make it bigger tomorrow. :) Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • thanks sis! ive been DYING to see plopping on our hair!

  • niiiice.

  • SO FLY!!!!

  • your hair turned out great!!! can't wait until my twa grows out, so i can try it...either way, long hair or short. i hate leaving the house with wet hair too! what model blow dryer is that? did it come with all the attachements?....sorry for all the questions. lol, but i've been trying to decide which blowdryer is actually worth the money. thanks!

  • psmithee1 after I saw this video I went and got a blow dryer with both attachments at walmart. Its a vidal sassoon 1875 Ionic blowdryer and its only 12.99!

  • Dang your hair is super fly!!! This rocks i am on it in the morning.

  • Your hair is fab!! I'll have to try this method when my hair gets longer. I did my BC about 3 weeks ago

  • IM SO TRYING THIS THANKS SO MUCH

  • love love love this video! its the best I have seen using a co-wash!

  • I have same curl pattern as you my hair looks just like that when wet. I like this style. Its cute.

  • Very Nice... :-)

  • Maybe when your hair gets longer you can get it cut into a different shape. Maybe then you wouldn't mind the actually texture so much anymore.

  • pretty! i'm gonna go do it right now!

  • Your hair is beautiful! I LOVE your curls. I was thinking about getting a diffuser so I can see what it does for my hair....Thanks for posting the video.

  • I don't know why, but using a conditioner & gel, rinsing quickly with cool water, then shaking really defines curls! I tried this the last couple days and it works. The second day I don't use conditioner, just rinse the gel a little. My hair is similiar to yours (I mentioned that before) so your vids really help. You seem to be more on the 3c side and me on the 4a, but our curls kindof define the same, lol. I know seems weird....be blessed!!

  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! your hair is so big, curl and finished looking. love it. i've known that a diffuser helps w/ volume but your extra tips about the concentrated attachment, not disturbing the end curls really put it over the top for me. i have a hair appt today. i was going in only for a trim (don't trust myself ) but i might have to tell her to hook this up! poor thing, she has very little experience w/ doing curly hair. i might have to walk her through it. *L*

  • Thank you sooooooooo much for this video! I could not for the life of me figure out how to give my natural hair volume. I have your same hair type but my hair is about 1-2 inches shorter than yours. As soon as I saw this video, I gave it a try and voila! My lil curly fro tripled in size. I'm subscribing to your vids. This is some of the BEST information I've received since starting my natural hair care journey. I can't wait to share with my friends. Thanks again. T5

  • Oh my gosh you're so adorable. I can't help but subscribe. Plus you are so informative. You've got a new subscirber. I'm even putting you on my blog. You're great.

  • wow wow, brilliant results and gorgeous hair!

  • thank you!!

  • Great !!

  • This is gorgeous!

Now I really have to purchase a diffuser & concentrator. I honestly believe this tut will go great with my hair. WHEN I SAY I HAVE MAD SHRINKAGE!! I DO AND IT'S TERRIBLE..My hair is like 5 1/2 inches long and longer in the back. When my hair is dry it's every bit of 2 inches..or shorter! Wow I love this!

    Gotta favorite this vid!

    Great job!

  • I know how you feel girl my shrinkage is crazy too!!. im not going to lie the shrinkage does help with some styles, but it can be very annoying lol. Just make sure you use a heat protectant before blow drying, thanks for watching and commenting ;)

  • Cute. Cute.Cute. Love it!!!!

  • thank you!, I wanna try some of your methods too, you got dying to try that curly meringue

  • That video was so informative I watched it twice! I'm doing the conditioner only method but I didn't know all the techniques you used. I could try cowashing and leaving the cowash conditioner in and plopping. I saw an ad for fast weaves and I thought it was impossible to get natural hair that was so thick and curly, but yours is just like the weave hair! Before going natural I never thought it was possible to have thick natural hair full of curls! It looks too good to be true!

  • thank you for watching and yes plopping does make the drying period so much faster. Yes I feel sometimes natural hair is too good to be true lol since we have so many things we can do to it. I wish alot of women would know how beautiful it is.

You are not the first person who said my hair looks like weave hair, the funny thing is before I was fully natural I would rock the curly weaves lol.

  • Your hair looks exactly like Tamara Ford the models...gorgeous! I've commented like so many times...u make me wanna take these braids out NOW!

  • your texture is identical to mine. thanks for the video. i'm def. gonna try this when my twa grows out. looks fab!

  • I really liked it... I am just like u ... I really don't like leaving the house with wet hair.... when It was shorter that was one thing but now that I have a little length I just can't do it... Thanks for adding this vid.... 5 stars... =)

  • your welcome ;)

  • ur hair came out great! =)

  • wow this was great...all together how long did this take u. and if u only do this once a week or however long, how do u moisturize??

  • From the shower to the blow drying, lets see..... well I spend about 10 mins detangling and applying the products in the shower. The plopping takes about 15 to 20 mins ( I do this while getting dressed and putting on make up). the whole blow drying process takes 20 mins (but this depends on the thickness of your hair). Thats why I say to just pace your self when doing this if your getting ready to go somewhere. You can do it at night and twist it up though, and get the same results.

  • great video! does any white from the product stay in if you dont use a diffuser and let it dry naturally without plotting (spelling? lol) or anything else? i have long hair and i am not sure how plotting would make my curls flat...

  • Gurl ur hair is AHHHHHH-MAZINNNNNNG!! THNXS SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR SECRETS, I SOOOO CANNOT WAIT TO TRY THIS WHEN THESE BRAIDS ARE OUT OF MY HAIR!! DID YOU DETANGLE YOU HAIR??

  • That is a great technique!! With the conditioner Im also gonna try the plopping i ve seen it done a few times and it seems to get great results! One question is leaving conditioner on good for the hair?

  • Thanks yoooouu sooooooooooooooooooo much !!

  • thanx for watching ladies!!, I didn't say this in the video but, make sure you invest in a good heat protectant when putting any kind of heat to your hair. Even though the heat isn't that strong, you just don't wanna risk it. I only do this at least twice a week(every 3-4 days). I like to do twist outs or braid out in between. You can just sleep with a satin bonnet, and spritz it with a lil bit of water in the morning.

  • Awesome vid. I'm gonna try this to see if I can get the curls I have while wet, with this method.

  • I love this definitely on my list of styles to try

  • You are my inspiration girl. Your videos are always great and your hair is beautiful. Iove that style on you.

  • Your Hairdo is BEAUTIFUL!!! Thanks for showing us how to use a Difusser and stretching the curls intact. I appreciate that!!! Absolutely Devine.. :-)

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'm glad you did this vid, because I was lost in the sauce!

  • This is very beautiful. Your hair is the same length of mine and I always try to acheive this style but the curls never stay .. Now I can try this and hopefully it will work.. I have very thick hair... Also how do you wrap it at night?

    I love it

  • I either sleep with a satin bonnet and spritz in the morn, or I twist/braid it up.

  • o ok I sorry I'm such a dummie you said you detangled with the vo5 srry, but you didn't use a comb right just ur fingers?

  • Its ok your not a dummie lol, I always detangle with my fingers first, and If my hair needs it then I'll use a shower comb or the denman brush

  • Cute do!!!

  • i like it

  • that is nice

  • I typically do the same thing only I let it air dry. I've been kind of skeptical about using a diffuser but I see that it works pretty good on "our" hair. I will try this look and post a video response to show you the result! Your looks is beautiful...I hope mine looks as good considering my hair is much longer. Thanks!!!

  • Yea i used to be skeptical about it too.I used to think it was only for people with straight hair to scrunch lol. The diffuser is a natural girl's best friend!!!

  • I am buying one as soon as I get off work today! Lol! I'm looking forward to trying this look.

  • I will definitely be looking out for your results!

  • Hey..Were those leave in conditioners u used?? If not did u leave the conditioner your hair?? Also did you detangle any..I really wanna try this ..thnxs so much for this vid!!:D

  • Yes they were regular V05 Conditioners Moisture Milks to be exact.

  • cool

  • I typically do that same thing but I let it air dry. I like the defussing technique. I think I will try that! I hope it will work as good for me...my hair is much longer but that looks so beautiful. I'll record it and show you my results!
