2-8-4 is a really ideal wheel arrangement.... plenty of support for a big firebox (hence sustained high DBHP), wheels big enough to get a move-on, but good for acceleration too, and a leading pony-truck to roll out the road and lead the loco around the curves, again at a fair speed. Damn fine-looking beastie too! And great in black....
Well, propane and natulal gas are both waste products from refining crude, soooo oil will still factor in.However,a tiney atomic reactor would consume nothing but water, and would last for 20 years.Aaaahhhh,a nuke scare.
A superpower Brekshier with a nice consist of passenger cars.Them are the days lost forever.Thank goodness there are a scant few of these beauts left to reminde us how we got the progress we have today, lest we forget.
I took my boys to see this at the Candle Walk. We went right up to it and all the steam came shooting out the sides, so cool. We can't wait to see it again this year! :>D
The whistle sounds a little too low pitched. They must've had the pressure turned down leading to the whistle.

@PereMarquette1223 They could also be quilling the whistle. you can make it high pitched or low pitched easily.

Very nice! I think her valve events need some attention because her exhaust sounds terribly off beat!
