Agree....however..information it's power...and it's not for free. Democracy it doesn't need the disclosure of ALL the information. Particularly related to personal nature or sensitive matters as national security (opinions included)...that it's precisely the reason because you use a nickname on you channel. Freedom requires privacy...liberty requires from all to respect that privacy...and all have the right to protect it.

@Axon36 Understood... is "Knowledge is Free" more acceptable? I did wrestle over the wording a bit. I chose information because it's what you choose to do with the information. Does one share knowledge or become informed? Anyhow, Anon is not interested in personal info, unlike the banks and ccard co's that buy and sell your personal info without your knowledge. :P

Much better statement...but you need to understand than "knowledge" it's not the same thing that "information". For example...someone can "inform" the world about his "opinion" that you're a "child molester" (sorry about the extreme example)... that may or may not be a "fact" (knowledge) ... but it will destroy your reputation. As consequence..it became a felony. The information release by Wikileaks it's in that category.

@Axon36 Compelling, however i have to disagree. Which is worse hypothetically, a company that poisons drinking water making thousands sick or the person who let's that secret out? I for one would want to know, so I don't drink that water. See my dilemma? It's information becoming available for those who choose to look. First there must be information to become knowledgeable. We easily criminalize the messenger, but the real problem is the elephant in the room.

I do see where are you going...but keep a "fact" on secret...it's not the same thing that keep an "opinion" on secret. Everyone have the right to have their opinions and made those opinions public or not.....if intrust someone with your opinion over your boss (eg. My boss it's running a chinese factory...and he's a useless moron).....and someone else release that opinion (messenger) without your consent...well.....your done!. That it's exactly what Wikileaks did.
