There is a difference between a preacher and a pastor. A preacher basically presents the Gospel; a pastor oversees a congregation, and is supposed to TEACH the flock. A woman, therefore, can be a preacher, which is the same as an evangelist. She cannot, though, be an elder (pastor).

First of all the bible says, women should be silent.... which refers to women who are unskilled or do not have the proper knowledge of the word of Christ. There were women in the bible who were PROPHETESS such as Huldah( 2 Kings 22:14-20), Miriam( Exodus 15:20), and Deborah( Judges 4:4). There also was a woman who was a PASTOR by the name of Priscilla along with her husband Aquila whom the Apostle Paul greeted in 1 Corinthians 16:19 because they had a church in their house.

There is a difference between a preacher and a pastor. A preacher basically presents the Gospel; a pastor oversees a congregation, and is supposed to TEACH the flock. A woman, therefore, can be a preacher, which is the same as an evangelist. She cannot, though, be an elder (pastor).

@dqnbiggs God is not going to contradict 2,000 years of Scripture for anybody. Women may be annointed to "minister" to others, but never to hold authority in the church or to preach. I'm sure that you will find peopled who may claim to be saved by a gay preacher, a Mormon preacher or a preacher who believed in sex before marriage, but that does not legitmize the person- if that was the case, all that proves is what the devil meant for evil, God used for good, but it dosen't make it legit.

If the Lord would have choose a woman as a 12 apostle he would have done it. If the Lord wanted to create a female angel he would have but he didn't. We find every excuse not follow his laws, statues, and commandments. Women can only prophesy to people not preach, become a Bishop, or Elder of a church. Like Moses told the children of Israel choose ye this day whom you will serve LIFE OR DEATH, GOOD OR EVIL!

@thecovenantkeeper Women, just as much as men, are called to minister to others, to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22–23 and to proclaim the gospel to the lost Matthew 28:18–20 ,Acts 1:8, 1 Peter 3:15 and when you preach the Gospel you are ministering
