Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps fuel inj. and tank clean and rustfree

The Holden Dealer Team of Australia, headed by racing legend, Peter Brock (RIP) wanted Holden to build these cars here. We already had our own version of the Opel Senator called Holden Commodore (3.3 litre inline 6cyl or 4.2 & 5.0 litre V8).
One Monza was imported & fitted with a 5.0 litre V8. I believe it retained the IRS.
The project went no further though. Peter Brock gave the car to his wife.

BMw inline 6 are unreliable, you cant fix the modern ones by yourself and watch the induction tubes by the 525 they are made of PLASTIC that cracks and the engine gets vacuum loss and wrong air so the head gasket blows...

If you want a good 3.0 inline 6. You would be looking for a 2JZGTE. It comes in the toyota supra and can handle ridiculous boost pressures, even without modding the internals. That is a real engine, and the supra is a real car. This I wouldn't pay for.

BMw inline 6 are unreliable, you cant fix the modern ones by yourself and watch the induction tubes by the 525 they are made of PLASTIC that cracks and the engine gets vacuum loss and wrong air so the head gasket blows...
The older BMW engines are better (3,0 Si 1975 !)
I have one !! But even those suffer under warping cylinder heads...Opel never had those problems.

BMW has gone downhill recently, I agree. I have a 1987 325es with over 300K Km though and it still runs perfectly with my constant abuse. The transmission has been replaced, but the engine is still great. Maybe I am lucky?

Of yourse it is better than the Pantera, no american V8 is able to drive full speed for longer than a few minuzes on the German Autobahn, Crankshaft Vibration, Oil Temp, bearing failure, rocker Arms that break...American engines are nice to listen to but non comparable to Opels supercar inline 6 engines.

If you want a good 3.0 inline 6. You would be looking for a 2JZGTE. It comes in the toyota supra and can handle ridiculous boost pressures, even without modding the internals. That is a real engine, and the supra is a real car. This I wouldn't pay for.

with 205 HP in stock trim it has plenty of potential for tuning ...just remove the catalyst than t has 225 HP..install a 288 dregrees cam than it has 250 HP...with sports pistons, some flowing grinding and polishing of the intake ports its has 300 HP...

No the Opel inline 6 is the best one, because it lasts, all those BMW R6 have Problems with the head gasket if driven hard or put under pressure. The Opel inline 6 24V valves is considered as the best inline 6 ever made if not the best otto engine ever made. Ask some engineers..its not the HP output its the overall quality and running culture.

The modern Opels dont have the quality of the 70´s and 80´s Generation, especially the 6 cylinder cars Commodore, Senator, Monza and Diplomat are as good as Mercedes or other top quality luxury cars...the Monza is even better than any modern "SPORTS" car...a good driver will allways check out an Opel Monza without any ESP and ASR electronic gimmicks instead of exotic electronic toy cars

Ferrari is unreliable and just disposal engine. Dropping exhaust valves on high rev..even on todays F1 Ferrari engines a problem hehe and the street engines eat exhaust valves as somebody elses car fuel.

Exhaust valve gone after 105.000 KM since new..so Ferrari tells anybody has to change all
24 Exhaust valve any 100.000KM...same shit as FIAT / Lancia....they just cant build such a simple thing as exhaust valves that last the whole liftime of a car. Opel never has such shitty problems. 1 Opel valve costs 12 Euros
one Ferrari valve made from Pizza costs 105 Euros = SHIT for incredible money!
