  • The voice is just AWESOME

  • 5 people are idiots ;o

  • "My heart is broke, but I have some glue. Help my inhale, and mend it with you. We'll float around, and hangout on clouds. Then we'll come down, and have a hangover."

To me, this is poetry at its finest. In most of Kurt's songs there's usually a double meaning with his lyrics. Gotta love the guy.

  • I'd keep NIrvana get rid of the Queen

  • @roastmaster2000 you sure are an idiot, kurt cobain liked queen and a lot of other bands like queen,he had a lot of sources of inspiration, open your mind and listen more music than what you know,or you can continue beliving shits but just shut the hell up.

  • Aren't we all a little dumb when we're happy?

  • best band ever. QUEEN and NIRVANA forEVER

  • 5 or more people aren't "In Utero" *troll face*

  • This song is perfect

  • Kurt's voice is amazing.

  • 4 people are not high.. tisk tisk tisk

  • so sick of "# of people dont like this because" comments on all the fucking videos these days.

  • I'm not dumb, cause i'm happy.

  • I am not like them,but I can pretend..

  • 4 people are exposing their lack of musical knowledge... Nirvana were, and are, absolutely intrinsic to the evolution of the music we currently take for granted...

  • himno! ..

  • haha this ismy theem song

  • Esta es otra canción que considero mi himno!

  • I really feel sorry for the people who never get to listen to this and appreciate it. The same people that listen to modern pop, rnb and rap crap without ever hearing this album.

  • @asdfghjklkjhgfdsa555 its funny i was just saying that the other day.. not just about nirvana but there are many great bands that are really unknown by this lame ass generation raised by misogynistic garbage like jersey shore and pop and gangster rap.. i consider it a blessing to have gotten to experience the amazing alternative music of the 90s! Smashing pumpkins, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Blind Melon, Sublime, Elliott Smith, Radiohead.... the list goes on and i really am lucky :)

  • @pennyroyaltea89 There was a lot of pop culture garbage in the early 90's as well as now (New Kids on the Block, Paula Abdul, Snow, Ace of Base, and so on), TV was full of shit like American Gladiators and Jerry Springer. There's still good music out there, although nothing that has knocked the industry on its ass like Kurt did. But I think you're looking back through rose-colored glasses. I still would rather live in today's era with the internet and shit than go back to Crystal Pepsi.

  • 4 People live in Utero

  • @hipergarchax *FACEPALM*

  • Its a shame so many people without a shred of intelligence even attempt to listen to and enjoy such beautiful music.

  • @012greenej I know how you feel.

  • My favorite nirvana album!

  • 3 dumb peopple push the dislike buttom

  • 3 peoples don't understand Kurt Cobain.

  • my mom was talking about when she was in her moms belly and she said while i was in utero...i started humming this song.

  • 3 people KILLED KURT COBAIN

  • @machonacho98 You are an idiot. Really.

  • @TheEric1203 and/or @rockstarJDP I believe he was murdered, and that Courtney Love had something to do with it, of course with help from the authorities that absolutely hated Cobain.. Not to mention they investigated and called it a suicide all in one day case closed, although more facts pointed to a murder than suicide... I don't want to get into this though too much to say, but do more research on this matter if you care to.

  • have a hangover....................

  • This voice... I can't breathe when i listen to this song.

  • I really like the strings in this song.

  • i think im dumb

  • @TheSnak369 or maybe your just happy ;)

  • I've always known about Nirvana but only just started listening to them.

    Absolutely wonderful.

  • skin the sun fall asleep wish away the soul is cheap lesson learned wish me luck

  • 3 people think they are too smart to be dumb.

  • @bjevansca1 they also don't think they're just happy

  • a twice brighter flame burns half of a normal one...but Kurt burned 10 times brighter...R.I.P. KURT COBAIN

  • 3 people are dumb

  • R.I.P KURT COBAIN

  • rip

  • TOLD YOU I WAS GONNA SMOKE TO THIS SONG ON UR BDAY MY NIGGA KURT DONALD COBAIN.....NIRVANA FO LIFE BROTHER................

  • @stickdudes1 he hated that song.

  • @rockstarJDP why, because of all the publicity?

  • @TheEric1203 yeah, because it was their most popular song and they were always expected to play it. always on the radio and the music channels. he hated the idea of commercialism just like most bands do, so when this song did go commercial...

  • @rockstarJDP yup, makes sense. i think that's what In Bloom is about right? And it's probably the cause, at least partially, of his suicide. I remember watching a live video, i think it was the last one before Kurt died, and he sounded really irritated singing Teen Spirit.

  • @TheEric1203 i think you're right yeah. hmm, i don't know if part of his reasons for what he did was because of the song but i suppose what it represents. i know he didn't want the pressure anymore and tried to leave nirvana a few times. but he kept getting pressured into doing tours and performances that he didn't want to do and that's a big part of the reason from what i've read. also his heroin use, which incidentally this song is about.

  • @rockstarJDP oh yeah thats what i meant. the whole aspect of becoming popular and doing lots of tours and stuff probably brought him down. And yeah, the drugs probably contributed to it as well lol. You know it's really a shame that he couldn't handle all of it. I love their music, but a lot of times it just kills me to know that they could've done so much more, if perhaps they would've become more mainstream as time went on. Foo Fighters are good, but it's just not the same without Kurt

  • @TheEric1203 yeah agreed, they could have gone on to do a lot more, but one of his quotes was "it's better to just stop than to fade away". and i suppose they would have. nirvana wouldn't have been nearly as famous today if he hadn't died. they're still epic regardless, but the way it ended meant that their reputation stayed the same rather than being one of those bands people talk about and say "they used to be amazing until they made so-and-so album".

  • @rockstarJDP yeah i see what you mean, like they would've been shamed if they had gone forward and gotten popular. Personally I would probably still love them all the same, both new and old material. I'm the same way with a lot of other bands. But it's nice to be able to go on youtube or any other site and be able to talk about Nirvana's music without having to hear about how gay this album is or how he never screams anymore. Right up to In Utero, you either loved the band or hated them.

  • @TheEric1203 not necessarily shamed, but if they'd become mainstream then yeah :p personally i don't think they would have ever let themselves get to that point though. yeah i know what you mean. to be fair, i was never a massive fan of their first two albums, some good stuff on them but i reckon they got it spot on with this album and nevermind. i'm sure i'm missing one out... how many albums did they make again?

  • @rockstarJDP You might be right, Kurt eventually mightve just said, enough is enough... we're getting carried away. Of course, how long would he have lived if he didn't kill himself? From what I've read, his health state was declining badly the last couple years before his death... maybe the stomach virus or the drug abuse would've caught up to him. I love all their music but yeah In Utero was solid. They have 3 studio albums and then one B-Side album and some other stuff like greatest hits

  • @TheEric1203 hmm, i don't think his stomach problem would have been fatal, who knows though, it was unheard of apparently. but yeah, the drugs were apparently partly the reason - would he have killed himself if there wasn't the drug habbit? yeah i take back my previous statement - insecticide is amazing. there is one more - bleach, insecticide, in utero, nevermind, and then as you say, the live albums/b-sides and greatest hits. bleach wasn't very good though i don't think.

  • @rockstarJDP Idk how bad the virus was, but i guess they couldn't find out what caused it, so that's when Kurt started using Heroin to subdue the pain. Well, it worked! But he became a complete crackhead lol. Well he may or may not have gone suicidal without the drugs, but I'm saying just the fact that it was in his body all the time must have broken him down. I don't think he'd be alive today if he kept it up. And I thought bleach was solid! Im pretty sure 3 is all they had besides incesticide

  • @TheEric1203 ah yeah course. i read his biography ages ago, forgot about that. although i do remember that his virus was the only recorded medical case, and so was named after him. pennyroyal tea is about his virus. hmm i just wasn't really a big fan, i only really liked love buzz and about a girl from that album. yeah four albums over all. when i have kids i'm going to make them listen to nirvana :p

  • Is it just me, or is this the same progression as "Smells Like Teen Spirit?" It sounds awfully similar.

  • this song makes my utero tingle...

  • @TBod108 gigity

  • i have seen something awsome on youtube and its not the videos exactly. its the AWSOME positive feedback and reactions to grunge. from us 90's kids to the new younger crowd. whats that say? well it says that WE AS A PEOPLE NEED GRUNGE TO COME BACK !

  • @phoenixforce22 it never really left :), it was just underground. People are so absorbed with the four chord mainstreams songs now that they havent had time to really experience other music, or they just exclude it. But there are still true music lovers out there you just have to search for them.

  • @naru725 this is 4 chord mainstream music

  • @MrPassiontea dude even before Nirvana got famous they used 4 chords for their songs, so their an exception, plus even if their songs were just 4 chords they had solos and individual string picking to the song which made it sound more complex. i dont see that now a days, do you?

  • Comment removed

  • @naru725 Shutup. Just because something is mainstream doesnt mean it sucks. Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Steely Dan, Nirvana, Radiohead, etc. are all (believe it or not!) popular artists loved by hundreds of thousands, and for a good reason. I think you fail to realize what the definition of "mainstream" is. You dont have to like a band that only has 5 fans to be a "true music lover". Stop being a music elitist. Kurt hated elitist pricks like you, finding ways to be "better" than everyone else.

  • @ErikandTed dude I never said mainstream was terrible, I was mostly talking about Rihanna, Eminem and Lady Gaga who use music as a social gimic rather than coming from their emotions and just being able to relate to people. And yeah all those bands are considered mainstream and their great thats why they had that many devoted fans, but I was trying to say people have lost sense into what music was, I mean music has completely lost its meaning over the years, thats why we listen to the greats.

  • @ErikandTed well spoken. I love this stuff and i also listen to a lot of punk, you should see the punk elitist go off in that group, it's rediculous.

  • I think I'm Smart. Maybe just sad. XD

  • Please listen and comment this NIRVANA cover!Thank you! /watch?v=E3y534uaLEM

  • i'm so jealous of my brother cos his childhood /teenage years were : nirvana, rhcp, blink 182, oasis... my childhood/ teenage years were: britney, justin b, jobros, miley cyrus...WTF?!!

  • @rapsodia43 i missed nirvana by one year im mad but i got the later days of rhcp and they were my favorite and will be my favorite band forever until i die

  • @TheJewishKoolAidMan :) im mad too because almost all of my favorite artist are dead :( unfair!

  • Kurt is ALIVE ! - watch?v=z5cL8swWnvU

  • grunge died along with kurt

  • @Nutterbutterz95

Fuck I'm not that good at English haha. I think it still isn't dead because. I don't know. I had to give a speech at my school and I put Nirvana in it. Since then about 10 kids have started listening to Nirvana. I hope and I pray that grunge will make a big come-back. But to call it dead? Never. Modern rock.. I don't know. Tokio Hotel is labelled modern rock and damn, that band sucks!

  • @NoaDeZeeuw Lol, Tokyo Hotel. I don't like them. Indie rock seems to have dominated the rock market. Anyway, that's good that you introduced people to Nirvana. They were a good band, although I'm really not fond of Nevermind. In Utero is one of my absolute favorite albums.

  • @Nutterbutterz95 It didn't. Maybe it did in your eyes or in your head, but that's kinda sad you know.

  • @NoaDeZeeuw I love grunge music. However, since nobody makes grunge music anymore, I can safely call the music "dead". Forever remembered and treasured by fans of the movement? Yes; absolutely! But still alive and kicking? I don't think so.

Also, it's of my opinion that not all of modern rock evolved from the grunge movement. In fact, I think relatively little has risen because of the grunge groups. But I'm not so keen on modern rock, so I wouldn't be an authority to speak of it.

  • Why can't people type in proper English when they respond to this video?

  • @Nutterbutterz95 whAT u mean mAn!!!??...shiiiAAT u be cRazy Talkin!!!!!

  • One of the most songs of Nirvana !!!

  • My heart is broke

    But I have some glue

    Help me inhale

    And mend it with you

  • @smokeymcpot42027 oooommbberrr......I'm telling the teacher on you

  • @him3zz :d

  • @smokeymcpot42027 describes using drugs to mend broken hearts perfectly imo. glue gives me a hangover anyways.... maybe just dumb.

  • @smokeymcpot42027 that line is so crazy

  • think I'm jst happy

  • why keeps everybody saying that grunge is dead >.>

it is not, it ''evoluated'' into all kinds of rock music. and if we keep saying grunge is dead, it ain't never going to live again.

  • @NoaDeZeeuw Grunge died.

  • this song just isnt long enough

  • this song just isnt long enough

  • So simple, yet so fucking fantastic. This is why I love In Utero.

  • this heroin feels nice and warm to the heart.

  • @knawimsayinnnnn Lucky you. It's been years since I've had any.

  • ah fuck this song, fuck everyone. Later~

  • Unplugged version is better

  • "im not like them, but i can pretend" luv it!!!

  • Drugs are Wack <<< Why the best Singers are USUALLY engage this kind of thought ? Kurt is one of the best alternative Rock's singers ever. We missed ya so much. This song should've made him as an icon in music history.

  • @Khalid2020dz nirvana started the genre "grunge" that changed rock n roll forever if that makes ya feel betta haha :P so he did acomplish somethin big b4 he died

  • @crazy4baseball47 and still, rock n roll wasnt changed, only rock.

  • he made this song in 10 minutes

  • Also, I think Kurt Cobain was too far ahead in his time to be understood. It sucks very badly, but it seems he's more understood now and he's GONE. Like I said I've never had an idol, but looking into kurt cobain a lot recently, I find myself getting very angry. I mean really angry at the fact that his death has never been CASE CLOSED. I just wish it was clear. Sure, we all believe he was murdered, but there's still that one ounce of knowing he may have killed himself. IT SUCKS

  • @spdzne we'll probably never know

  • @spdzne true, look at MIchael Jackson everyone hated him till he died, then he was freaking missed...

  • @schulze04 That's a fact my friend. Guess it's the way it goes.

  • @spdzne r u fucking retarded kurt cobain killed himself he had a large case of opium in his system he shot up then killed himself in his greenhouse dip shit

  • @MetsFanDJL hate the world much? incompetent? insecure? Lashing out? You need to talk to somebody else. Maybe he did kill himself. I just have the decency to say that I don't know for sure... because I don't. Maybe you should go to a greenhouse and shoot up.

  • @spdzne i'm a realist cock sucker nd i believe the truth not sum cocka may may conspiracy mhmkay nd don't ever question my intellectuality

  • @MetsFanDJL ahahaha

  • @MetsFanDJL i am questioning your intellectuality.

  • @MetsFanDJL The truth is in the eye of the beholder; as the truth differs from perspective to perspective, and is distorted as it is passed from one person to another. There's no such thing as a ''realist''.

  • @xXichibanBaller Definitions of realist on the Web: * a philosopher who believes that universals are real and exist independently of anyone thinking of them * a person who accepts the world as it literally is and deals with it accordingly

  • @MetsFanDJL And you know what happened to Kurt? Maybe I'm just butt-hurt, but if your a realist, what do you think of the Micheal Jackson cases? :

Two young boys claim that they were sexualy abused, yet there is no real supporting evidence.

Would you say the boys and their parents were taking advantage of Micheals longing for a childhood? or would you say the evidence was covered up? either way it's a conspiracy.

The point is, you shouldn't rat on other peoples idols, or their beleifs.

  • @xXichibanBaller Yea, the parents said that they tried to get money.

  • @MetsFanDJL He had three times the lethal amount of heroin in his system not opium. That was 1994 not 1904.

  • hey all. People who can't understand the brilliance of the man kurt cobain, will NEVER understand. Look, I am a guy who is 23 years old and have never had an idol. Especially a "famous idol". I have always loved music. My only idol has been my father. And trust me, I would never like to admit any downfalls my father posesses. But I know one thing, he'd never see what I see in kurt cobain. You have to get familiar with a differen realm to really feel kurt. I'm finding this out. I'm drawn in.

  • Wake Me Up!

  • i love you kurt
