Yeah, I used a few tables in the sprite depending on RAM address $C2,x (I also used it in the graphics routine to determine the frame).. In reality, it was much more simple that I had expected it to be, so I was surprised why nobody else had done it yet (Besides a few of the hackers of Japan), haha.

I have a suggestion for you. You should modify the sprite and make it fire in the 4 diagonal directions, so, you can make a perfect Bramble Blast remake.
