  • @AxeAttack61 lol possibly but only if you can find it ;)

  • nerd

  • @TheChuckNorris1997 damn straight! :D

  • Damn this is really good! I've been trying to make it for almost a year but it always breaks! *sigh* :/

  • woot for leveling up on the Sphere Gri din the background XD

  • what kind of glove is that if i can ask?

  • @jonny5312 it was one of those fancy dress/prom elbow length glove.

  • Fantastic job! And it sounds like someone is leveling up in the sphere grid lol

  • Cool, what did you use to make it?? ;D

    I WANT IT!!!

  • Someone is playing on besaid island! Beautiful gauntlet thing man xD! I'm trying to make something similar for my Tidus cosplay. He has that little golden gauntlet thing going on, you know?

  • looks like his real arm o.o

  • nice playing FF 10 in the background XD <3

  • how much did it cost to make

  • @soracosplayer89 for the arm, not that much. i'd say around $30 give or take.

  • that is really good work! I thought it was metal for a moment 0_0

  • That is freaken sweet. Really damn good job on that. I know this video is old, but I'm just finding it, and it's amazing. :)

  • very nice, im trying to get in to that, but idk where to buy the stuff :(

  • @cloudyou170 you can get the items used to make craft foam armor at hobby or craft stores. sometimes even walmart carries them too.

  • did u really use that methiod or did u use amethyst-angel's methiod?

  • @cloudyou170 yes, i did use entropyhouse's method of constructing craft foam armor but slightly modified it. originally her method called for cheese cloth to act as reinforcement but i substituted el cheepo fabric instead for added strength.

  • Holy Shit. lol like how you hear FF in the background

  • Great work! This helps a LOT with my own claw, seeing as it's my first time with anything like armor. But one question though...

How did you get the bottoms of the fingers to stay attached (like the flat portion)?

And yes I am using the same tutorial. Please and thank you!~xCAx

  • @xCyanideAngelx I used e6000, an industrial strength glue found in craft stores, to attach the individual armor pieces to the glove.

  • @reddeath1888 what kind of glove is that if i can ask?

  • Me encanta

  • funny I used the same tutorial for my automail arm XD

  • I didn't even realize it was foam....

    IT LOOKS SO REAL

  • Its gorgeous. I love all the perfect details and how accurate it is. <3

  • Did you make the pattern yourself?

  • @kasperspy yes i did make the pattern for the claws myself.

  • haha Final fantasy 10 how fitting lol

  • Awesome work! :O

  • I've been looking for a tutorial like this one. My first Vincent armor turned out like shit...so Vincent was scrapped for this year's AKON, any tips on the Cape?

  • @PrinceoftheNight666 which part of the cape are you wanting to work on? like the whole thing or certain details?

  • WOW!! you did an amazing job on the outfit... after seeing that I might make my own =D

  • is foam?

  • yes, the claw is made out of craft foam.

  • picking up stuff with that must be fun.

  • ZOMG! *steals* AMAZING.

  • darn skinny :P jk

  • wow.. awesome work!! me wangt one too!!!! O.O

would you make one for me and ill pay you?

  • thanks! sorry, i don't do comissions D:

  • Final Fantasy X in the background? :D

  • nooo final fantasy X-2

  • hurray for sphere grids!

  • i want arm like that!!! cool vid man :D

  • I love how the joints move and come apart and how it is not all one peice

  • fucking awesome 5/5 stars faved and subbed

  • Isn't that FFX-2 in the background? Or wait, is that X?...

  • its ffx-2

  • Haha, I've played that enough to be able to recognize that music anywhere.

    Amazing craftsmenship, btw!

  • thats really good! lol i love the random "DEAD END" sign in the background XD

  • did u follow the tutorial in culuding the fabric stuff

  • i did follow the tutorial as a guideline or rules layout but i strengthened the original armor by using cheap fabric instead of cheese cloth.

  • do u have a template or cut outs to make the claw?(if so can u post them up)

  • at one point i did have patterns for his claw but i reciently lost them when i moved. sorry D=

  • Wich type of rub'n'buff did you use?

    Antique gold? *_*

  • i think it was antique gold but i can't be sure. its been a while since ive worked on vincent's claw @___@;;

  • Amazing! i was looking up how to make his gun and found this... now i sort of want to work on the glove more.

  • so how did you get the top of the hand to stick

  • i used e6000 to glue the top of the hand in place

  • whatkind of paint did you use for the claw and boots??

  • i used rubb-n-buff on the boots and claw for a realistic metalic look.

  • and regular gold paint

  • nu, the rubb-n-buff is that gold metalic color.

  • o ok how did you make the pattern for it or did you free hand it cuz the link is for the one armor

  • both, for some pieces were made by freehand others had patterns. while i was moving sometime ago, i lost the patterns i used for his claw. D=

  • WOW thats impresive looks like it pretty easy to move and is comfy!!!!!! XD wish id used your method when i did Vincent!!!!!!!

  • damn awesome! It looks so comfy and flexible!

  • Awesome.... I feel like making a Vincent cosplay now.. xD

  • My jaw...I can't get it off the floor...

  • how you can do that :O

  • magic! lol jk XD

  • Wow, that's tight. Also liked the sphere grid FFX action goin on in the background. ^_^

  • SPHERE GRID!!! Nice job!

  • lol their in besaid

  • it looks finished i ges

  • nice job, and FF X inn the background, cheers:D awesome game.

  • this is INCREDIBLE it genuinely looks like real metal armor made by a master smith! great job ^_^

  • oh wow thats cool

  • that's badass dude great ob :D

  • u can hear that someone is play ffx in the background

  • WOW :D great work!

  • would it be possible to BUY this by any chance?

  • no, not at the moment

  • whts tht sound in the backrounds

  • twas my old roomate was playing on the ff10 sphere grid

  • ok sounded familliar

  • so cool!! *o*

  • lol some1 playing final fantasy in the background?thats an awsome arm XD

  • I was thinking the same thing that

    Antgirl89 wrote :) Ha Ha :p

  • what did you make it out of?

  • craft foam and lots of glue

  • oh my god, thats really good.

  • how long did it take you to make it???

  • it took me about a month to design and make the claw

  • It sounds like someones upgrading the sphere grid in ff10. LOLOLOLOL

  • That's what I was thinking.

  • Were you at the chibipa? :o Nice arm.

  • for the around your forearm, it it a full peice, or can you take it off somehow?

  • the forearm piece is a floating piece which means it can come off seperately from the rest of the glove.

  • Cool. Sounds like ff10's sphere grid in the background.

  • If I were to offer to pay you to make a claw and pair of boots for me, what would you say?

  • lolz wow thanks for the offer! i'd love to accept your offer but my schooling takes up to much time and because of that i'm unable to make any custom pieces at the moment. sorry hun. D:

  • Wow!! That is just amazing! You're cosplay looks brilliant as well! :)

  • cool you're claws awsome , but were did you buy your craft foam from ? i've looked in all the place i can think of and cant find any :(

  • usually craft foam is sold at craft stores and it goes by several different names. ex: craft foam, fun foam, funky foam, etc...

  • This arm is the greatest thing on earth.....

And I also wish to point out that I can clearly hear someone playing Final Fantasy 10 in the background....Auron for the win (Except over Vincent)

  • heard it aswell :P

  • How does he fire that awesome gun with those claws?!!

  • Simple... Vincent is right-handed, and his right hand brandishes no claws. ^^

  • haha, owned clearly there goddessa :P

  • wiieee

  • OMG!! that arm is perfect!!! I admire you! one day I'll do my vincent's cosplay and I hope to do something as beautiful as your arm! congrats

  • sounds like someone is selling materia in the background.

  • thats awesome

  • Wow! Nice Vincent Gauntlet! Complete with full range of motion and metallic sheen! Looks comfortable...

  • That is the best Vincent claw I have ever seen!

  • What is it made of? just Foam or did you use any kind of metal??

  • it's made out of craft foam. no metal. the cons i go to won't allow me to have metal in props.

  • wow really? sound like metal when you close your hand, cling sound xD

  • That's amazing! I'm making mine out of plastic tho xD but thats really amazing that you made it out of craft foam, first when I saw it I guessed it was metal of some sort, but wow really well done making that claw. :)

  • Well somebody is playing FFX, I believe? XD That is one killer sexy claw. I orgasm'd.

  • ya its ffx

  • Thank you so much. I plan on cosplaying as Vincent, but wasn't sure how to make the pattern for the claw. Thanks for posting this, it'll be a major help! And thanks for the link to the tutorial!

  • -is SO going to use this method for Janicon next year-

    Very realistic. :D

  • Would it be too much for me to ask what materials you used for it? I'm working with my mother to make mine and we're stuck between doing Aron from X, Yuffie or Vincent...

  • the materials i used: -craft foam (aka fun foam) -sobo fabric glue -elmers glue -water -3D paint -elcheapo $1 per yard fabric -rubb-n-buff -acrylic floor polish -scissors -exacto knife
  • duuuude thats awsome.....do you have a pattern for that?

  • no, i'm sorry they were reciently lost while i was moving.

  • What's awesome (besides the arm and claw) is that someone's playing final fantasy 7 in the background. LoL ^.^

  • Thank you soo much! This video and the link to the tutorial is going to be a major help for the Vincent comission I am doing later!!

  • Do you have any tips for someone using the same tutorial~?

  • experiment, using the tutorial as a base, you can manipulate craft foam into a wide variety of shapes

  • Do you have a particular pattern you used for the hand part of the claw? My buddy and I are using the same tutorial!

  • no, i dont at the moment. if i did they're in the black hole that is my closet. XD

  • thats soooo awsome :D

    looks professionaly made 8D

  • somebody's playing Final Fantasy X in the back!

  • Very well done! I think I'll go play some Dirge of Cerberus.

Keep us posted on your progress.

  • LOL you can hear the sound of someone playing Final fantasy X in the backround.

  • Where can you find craft foam?

    This is just too cool.

  • You can find craft foam at craft stores like Michaels or Jo-Ann's. Some times it's name changes to funky foam, fun foam, etc.... Normally it comes in sheets in a wide array of colors and thicknesses on occasion.

  • When I saw that is reminded me of the robot from starwars...Wait who is Vincent?

  • Final Fantasy VII (FF7), Man.

Wiki it. LOL, though it'll probably give too much info...

  • now that's dedication...

  • woooow your's is great! mine sucks :[

  • wow thats the most perfect vincent armor ive seen, looks like the real deal.

  • o_o

    give t to me >_<

    .

    .

    .

    lol XD good job!

  • Someone was in Besaid Island from FFX in the background. xD

Oh gosh, I LOVE that claw. @_@ Excellently made!

  • That is some excellent work! Someone was playing FFX in the background! lOl!

  • Realy nice man, have been thinking of doing on in metall after summer.

    Great job ^^b

  • wow... This opens up 5 million ownage potions on all cosplayers everywhere... MADE FROM CRAFT FOAM THAT IS JUST GODLY... I normally use PVC and some synthetic plastic sheets... ALL BOW TO THE NEW COSPLAY GOD

  • lmfao! XD thanks

  • verry cool i could never make somthing like that well i could.but my parents would never let me i mightwhen i get a place of my own but ime only 16.

ps were did you get the sign on the wall from.

  • nice gaunlet, what did you use to make it?

  • Awsomeness

  • really? yeah I thought that there was something wonky with the boots on the doll too...guess you can't trust the doll! I'm planning on making it out of steel this summer^_^ I'll tell you how it turns out!

  • i've found that on the doll, vincent's hair is way too short, his elbow piece is upside down and his hand plate is based off of dirge of cerberus. the boots aren't that off even though in the movie his ankle piece changes >>;

  • i wnna c the finished costume!

  • that's awesome.. great job! and good luck at the convention! woooooo

  • well in the movie, vincent doesn't have gooves on his hand plate as seen on the doll. I found many inacuratcies with the doll through this costume.

  • XD what stumps me is... how did you get the craft foam to get curvy, you know, the part near the inner arm...

    o_o yeah.

  • ps: (you made your's out of craft foam?! how the heck did you manage that! O_O I used plastic for mine^^;)

  • hmm, it's not done yet is it? you didn't put the grooves on the top of the hand (sorry, that's about the only thing I got right on mine^^) that claw is way better than the one I made ;_; I'm going to re-make mine as soon as i get more money for materials!

  • in the background where u playin ffX? oh well, kwl gaunlet, good luck!

  • its made out of craft foam

  • ;.; looks way better than mine. what did you use? plexiglass?

  • Hey!! u stole Vincent's gauntlet!! XD

Just kiding!! when u finish the costume u gotta show us kay?

If the gauntlet looks this good... i can imagine how the costume will look like!! Good luck at convention!! =D

  • Believe me when I say there is nothing better than that arm there. Its very realistic, yep. Good luck at the con
