  • hi there! great playing! i really envy you! I also got a nik huber dolphin! great guitars aren't they?

  • They are great indeed. I do play his Orca models though, this model was just a rental for the NAMM show.

    Thanx for your words

  • Hey Ralf, i also own the Gnx3000...i was just curious as to which patch you are using, is it custom? and if so, could u send it to me? sounds great.

  • Hi there,

yes it is a custom preset but it is based on the Carvin amp.

I would be honored to send you the preset, maybe I also post it on the soundcommunity in the next few days. Send me your email address and the preset is yours

    Cheers

  • has the gnx3000 got a good wah? i hear its weak n digital sounding just thought id gather more opinions on it... cheers.

  • Hi Ralf,

Props again to pull off another hot Michael Dowdle tune from Soulmate. Too bad we don't have the whole song, and the video wasn't a little brighter. I'd love to watch what you're doing.

So, how is all the backing material done? Do you track-record them into the digitech? Play with digital tracks on disk? Studio recording without lead guitar? Those are such tight arrangements it must take more work to construct the drums and bass than to work out the solos. Great job again!

  • Hi there

it is a remake of the original track...I spend days on this...but it pays. I do have a few more versions of this song playing it on video but dont have the time to upload, maybe in July or August I find the time to beef up this thing here

Thx for your nice words again

  • Hi there

I now own a 2101 and use it to show the people how good the new GSP1101 is. I dont hav too much experience with 2112 or the 2120 but I did play it on a tour mimicing Malcom Young (I played a AC/DC tribute band using it). It was very easy never failed but did not have the chance to expriment and fool with it. The 2101 is pretty similar although I think the 2112 and the 2120 has improved FX section.

Do you have any specific question for me maybe we can share some information

    Cheers

  • hi Ralf.Great playing. What do you think of digitech 2112 and did you ever tryed digitech 2112 limited edition w.dual proc..???

any info from you would be appreciatet.

  • That was great Ralf... I'm the guy with Hendrix from Romania... I'd like to see more videos with the Nik Huber guitar... that's a great guitar.

  • Hey how is it going over there...I had a wonderful time during my clinic tour and I hope to be back soon. Still in contact with the Proguitar guys once a month or so....good people...I dig in my files aybe I find some more of the Huber guitar videos....hang on...

  • Hi Ralf... hope you'll find some videos with the Huber... BTW I bought a Vigier guitar recently... those are extremely well crafted guitars with many inovations.

  • Hello from France ! very good playing !

I'd like to buy a Nik Huber Dolphin, can you please tell me how is it compare to a PRS for exemple ? do you like this guitar ?

    thanks

  • Oh, very likely you have to pay way more for a PRS which has the same features and sound of a Huber. Nik pays a lot of attention to any detail on his guitars and he has no standarised productline which means every guitar sounds a bit different but also unique which you cant say about any PRS.

  • hey I noticed some very strange differences between the GNX4 and the GNX3000(I own none of the two)

while the GNX4 is more pricey and is much more convenient for recording, I noticed that while the GNX4 only provides 15 amp models the GNX3000 provides 40.

Which is the later model? which is better??? I'm planning to buy one of the two pretty soon(that is, as soon as I get the money and that I believe is a few months away...)

oh and your solo on this video is great too.^^

  • The latest one of those is definetely the 3000. Digitech went back to any ampmodel and did some more research and over the past few month they released a few other units like the J. Hendrix and the B. May pedal. During that process they found more and better sounds which you find in the 3000. Basically I would say the GNX3000 is a little more modern but there are features on the GNX4 I really dont want to miss and I wished they had one model which has it all maybe the GSP1101 will do this.

  • All these units have something good and something not so good. If you are after original amptones go for Line6 if you want nice bedroomsounds and tons you can easily play with go for Boss if you want a clear and distinctive tone nd great FX go for DigiTech. But hey thisis just my opinion and in the end it is your money you spend. I like DigiTech best because I am with them for over 6 years and know my way around. I get great tones out of the RP units new generation...check them out!

  • Great playing and a great sound!

I just got a DigiTech GNX3000 so I hope I can get it to sound somewhere as good as yours!

  • Send me your email address I am happy to share my presets with you! You can also find them being uploaded at the soundcommunity page of DigiTech. Btw the guitar helps with achieving this sound too...smile
