The production is poor and some of those hooks are annoying as fuck. Yes I'm about lyricism, but I need to be able to kick back and enjoy a song as well. I'm not saying Joe ain't a great emcee and can't spit, but there's more to making a great song and furthermore a great album, then spitting hot 16's and 32's. You have to do about song structure, bridges, chorus, etc... Please don't lump me in with the wayne crowd cuz that's not me at all.

1 - this was a friendly rivalry. he even talks about it on a HOT 97 thats readily available in a google search...BACK 2 YEARS WHEN IT HAPPENED.
2 - it was an "ok" album.. but compared to reasonable doubt or blueprint or even blueprint it was whack. thats like comparing "I AM" to "Illmatic" or "God's Son". By comparison "I AM" is complete garbage. But on its own its an "ok" album.
3 - uhm.. I'm guessing you didn't hear Ether like the rest of us? Jay Z song was amateurish next to Ether.
