yep it's just slightly decorated,

ARMA2 (release q1 next year) will also use the same game engine but its been in constant development from BIS and some military groups for 10 years, so technically it will have the same engine but its also different, e.g. you can now shoot holes in buildings (with a tank or an rpg etc) and use them as cover and stuff like that. The graphics engine has also been changed and apparently ARMA2 will be the most realistic game-military simulator available!

Not really. Its only around a mile or so. 2147 meters is a shot that has been made in reality. Although, at that distance with a M107, the drop on the rifle would be over 100 meters. The shot has been made before.

this game is pretty real but with most sniper rifles, they have levels and distance height differences precalculated and u enter general wind change and it gives u another crosshair of where the bullet will land. for non scoped weapons this would be fun.

first off this is only somewhat realistic. the ballistics on the .50 would still blow that guys body in half. he wouldnt just drop....he would explode. secondly it would take a lot more time in real life for him to figure distance, windage, target speed, and other variables that could disrupt his shot. if u ask me....for a video game it was cool but for real life it doesnt even compare.
