@ mahes- i partially agree 2 u.. the stotras were written down or are recited to praise the Lord, not for njoying the sound or something... the peace of mind and soul, which personally I get afetr "praising" the God, is much important then the sound.. there are certain hymns and stotaras which are to be understood to njoy them more.how can u njoy something which u dont understand??.. but after all I think this shud be left as each person's personal level..thnks nyway ... no offence..:)

@anupism There's quite a number of people that enjoy songs, religions and cultures, among other things that differ from their own. As for listening to a language they don't understand, in the 1840's, opera was quite popular,as most were either Italian or German, and although operas in English were by no means unheard of, they were exceptionally rare. Even if these stotrams aren't meant to be enjoyed, they are by many Hindus and non-Hindus alike. I think multiculturalism is beautiful:)
