older bikes you can see a black box on the side of the bike and take the bolts off and take the plastic plate off and theres your air filter i have a 1984 kawi so yeah might not be the same for other bikes

pull out the kick start lever, and use your hand and push down to prime the bike. if it is hard to push down then it has good compression.

If your a good rider you will go from an 85 to a 125. Your not going to take a big jump that just stupid. If your a good dirtbike rider you will make a 125 go fast

125 - 250 from what i have seen is mainly a personal preferance and depends on the rider

if you are a good rider you can easily transition to a 250 with no problem
