I can't help it, the feelings this song inspires in me are ridiculous. This coming from the guy whose seen tons of broadway plays, and yet this is by far my favorite of all of em. The feelings this song brings out are so...un-explainable...it just sort of breaks you apart. It's so hopeful and so lovely it just makes you want to go on...there is a place beyond grief...it's so touching...I said it before, and I'll say it again, this play had me bawling, most especially at this song...it just is.

An amazing song. What I don't get is how shocking this is compared to the third years on my musical theatre degree course. These people just can't do it justice the way my friends did.

I just wish I could have recorded it so you all could hear. I cried listening to it everythime, it was truly the most magical thing I have ever heard.

You will find that the version that is on cast recordings is often quite unlike the one from the show. It is the recording--and not this performance--that is a little deviant. This is the arrangement used in the show; the CD is different, not this performance.

The CD was made during the show's transfer from Off-Broadway to Broadway, so a lot of the songs are in the forms they were during the Off-Broadway production.

The CD you have is probably the original cast version. This is the "new" version that I didn't know existed until i searched for the music. The other version is better :P
