@nollaigbeag Hey, thanks...the west of Ireland is one of my favorite places on earth. Spent some time in Galway back in 1994. (They had to drag me kicking and screaming out of Connemara...I wanted to stay forever!)
@ButterflywithBALLS Thank you so much! Yeah, I finally figured out what I was doing wrong, but too late for this and a few other videos. *sigh* If only iMovie didn't suck so badly...(yeah, it's the software and not my cluelessness, really! ;))
hahaha, thanks! Actually, if you turn it WAY up you can hear a muted soundtrack underneath (just enough to help me stay on key!) I did try it a cappella a few times, with disastrous results. This piece of music was definitely never meant to be sung! :D
Oh, I'd still take Roy's version over mine, but I still had fun with it. (I transposed it down a half-step so I'd have a chance in hell of reaching the high note, but I wish I could've done it in his key...it has more impact somehow.)
I LOVED it. I wanted to download this video and post it on youtube, but your voice is so low pitch in this video. I did post your other video "I Approve this Message". You're excellent, thank you!
haha, thanks! I really wanted to transpose it up a half-step, which would have made it sound much more operatic (and easier to sing!) but I just couldn't quite manage the high notes on that particular day in D. ;)
Oh I'm sorry, I said post it on youtube, I meant post it on facebook. My mistake!!! That's fine though, what you need is some editing software that will enhance and merge elements of a video.
Such as, I know of software that allows you to extract audio and video, then free software that you can use to enhance the audio, but all of the software used to merge them together creates a watermark, a real hurtle and pain in the ass. I need to download a crack to make it free. Thanks so much though!!!!
Actually, I've had some fun exporting movies to GarageBand and messing with the audio. I'm a total ignoramus, but Macs are good that way...they make you feel like you know what you're doing. ;)
Oh, God, I'd like to think so. My optimism and cynicism have been beating each other to a bloody pulp all day. I want to believe...but my heart feels almost like 2000 and 2004 were a bad breakup, and I'm afraid to get my heart broken again. *LOL*
This is lovely--the singing, the gestures and facial expressions, the outfit, the backdrop, the harp--the whole thing--thanks for the classy and feminine interpretation!
Great stuff. Enjoyed your rendition here in the west of Ireland.

hahaha thanks for a great response.
I caught a glimpse of your vid reply on Roy's version, and thought " a classic version response would be fantastic " and here you are!!!
Cheers.

@matt7kiwi Hey, thanks! I'm hardly an operatic soprano, but I had to give it a try. :)

That was great. Thanks for cheering my day. I also loved the formal attire and very classy look!

Thanks! I was trying to go for a somewhat operatic theme (in tribute to Mozart), even if I don't have a truly operatic voice.
Also, in case you missed the description, the necklace I'm wearing was made in Kenya. :)

Very good indeed! Nice voice.

A cappella is really daring. Good job on not screwing it up! :)

I did pick that up. It is still very impressive.
It's fantastic to see other talented people pick up on Roy's stuff.
Well Done!

I really enjoyed this song when I first heard Roy do it, but you, my dear, elevate it to a celestial level. You sing like an angel!
I'd almost forgotten the old rule about a songwriter singing his/her own songs. Thanks for reminding me!

You're a lovely singer, and very pretty besides. Excellent rendition. I put this on to celebrate when I heard CNN projected he'd won.

Thanks! It sure is fun to sing. I have a sneaking suspicion "catchy" is Roy Zimmerman's middle name (unless perhaps it's "Hussein..."? ;)
Anyway, I'm so glad you liked it!
niakitten 3 years ago
Very nice. Capital. I hope you get invited to sing at the inaugural!
maturin42 3 years ago
LOL! Well, if there's any justice in the world, Roy Zimmerman will be singing at the inaugural! Though I'd gladly sing backup! :D
Thanks for the kind words!
