@AlanAlan2001, aburashdan is absolutely right. You can not compare democracy with a religion. But there is no such thing as a "christian democracy". Although it is possible for a democratic country to have a state religion like lutheranism is the danish state religion.

If a country's political decisions are solely based on religion it would be a theocracy like Iran where descisions follow the Sharia.

I think that's what alanalan2001 means by saying islam in that context:)

do you know the meaning of democracy? it is a political system, islam is a religion, for your information. if you attack foreign countries without provocation, imprison people based on suspicion and most of them turn out to be muslims then by your logic you are exercising christian democracy which is exactly what you get when you have muslim dictators elected by muslims and supported by your demagogues.
