  • fucking love this song!! free as the wind and the waves that wash the sad!

  • I'm an islander too - from the other side of the country. Whenever I hear this song, I change the chorus to "I'm an Islander born and bred and I'll be one til I die... there's no place I would rather be than here on this Island."

I've had the chance to meet the guys from Shanneyganock - wonderful people and talented musicians.

  • Seen these guys alot in Ontario.....They are amazing. You will never be disapointed when you go out to see them!!! Great bunch of guys

  • Although these lads are great and do a good job of the song, the ONLY version in my opinion is by the Navigators. I was to the new CD release party last week and it was one of the best I've ever been to. CHEERS B'YS....FUCK it

  • i wonder if da b'ys in memphis liked the newfie music..

  • Can't speak for folks in Memphis, but I am from Oklahoma and lived with some Newfie relatives for an entire summer and now have a great love for all things Newfie. I miss a lot of it as we don't get those things here. So I depend on the music and my memories. :) I love this song!

  • I'm from Newfoundland! I really like this video. It just proves how good they are and how they don't need a lot of equipment and things to make them sound good like a lot of groups do.
