We gave up David Lee who's stats were crazy inflated cause A) he was the biggest guy on the team so he got the reb and played for coach D'antoni which lets players take basically any shot they want in a Run and Gun off. We get Turiaf, Azabuike and AR!!!!!!! That's not a steal that's a straight up heist.

Lee is a very good offensive player and rebounder, but he is an awful defender, and GS traded their two best shot blockers, plus New York wasn't going to pay Lee anyway with Stoudemire. This will likely end up as another horrible trade for GS, unless Randolph blows up in a bad way.

Yeah, some players like that tend to make a great improvement in their second year (since they learned their limits their rookie year). Isiah Thomas led the league in turnovers his rookie year, I expect Randolph to be a beast in his 2nd year.
He is althletic, good handle for a 6-11 guy, good rebounder and a monster shot blocker. Plus If he could be more consistent with his numbers, a better threat at the mid J, and Nelson smart enough to give at least 35 min of game time, A-Rand is going to be an all star.

If D'Antoni works with him in the right way I think we might just have something here! lee to the warriors was a perfect trade for both sides i think (though I can't help thinking we might have better long term returns, looking at this kid!). Welcome to the knicks! Yo I had no idea this kid was this insane son. Forget David Lee, this kid put the work in and its HIS team. He might end up being the best player on the team this year if he cab get his jump shot on point. Golden State fans, you'll like Lee a lot. Ambidexterous, rebounds, can pass and can score. He was my favorite Knick...BUT, he doesn't play a lick of defense. This is the first I'm seeing of Anthony Randolph. Only some1 as crazy as Nelly would bench this kid. Excellent shotblocker! Dynamic player. Teaming him with Amar'e looks like a great combo. Thoughts anyone?

@NYsonnn I hope so, and I'm glad we got him, I just wish we would've traded Ellis instead of AR for him. Would've made more sense for you guys too, as you have a hole in the guard spot now. I dunno, it's done. It's just rough to wait on this kid through injuries and whatnot for two years with so much hope, only to now have to watch him shine somewhere else. What an awful trade for GS, apparently they don't realize David Lee is one of the worst post defenders in the league. Not to mention Randolph is one of the most talented young guys in the league and GS is paying Lee 14M a year.

@Emron925A Who said anything about consistency asshole? Randolph has as much potential as anyone in the league and Lee is an abomination defensively. Lee is a very good offensive player and rebounder, but he is an awful defender, and GS traded their two best shot blockers, plus New York wasn't going to pay Lee anyway with Stoudemire. This will likely end up as another horrible trade for GS, unless Randolph blows up in a bad way.

Yeah, some players like that tend to make a great improvement in their second year (since they learned their limits their rookie year). Isiah Thomas led the league in turnovers his rookie year, I expect Randolph to be a beast in his 2nd year.

He is althletic, good handle for a 6-11 guy, good rebounder and a monster shot blocker. Plus If he could be more consistent with his numbers, a better threat at the mid J, and Nelson smart enough to give at least 35 min of game time, A-Rand is going to be an all star.

David Robinsonesque. This guy has a rare quality. He is fearless and a straight hustler. Never gives up on plays. He is very underrated and even analysts overlooks this guy. They do not realize how good he is. I am a Warriors fan and I can guarantee that they will make a run against their own divisional team, Lakers. As a fellow former LSU student, I wes skeptical about his conditioning entering into the NBA. Thinking he'd get tossed around by the bigger players but I gotta say he's holding his own, and if he can contribute that much to an ailing team like the Warriors, imagine the good he'd do with the likes of the Magic, Celtics or the Lakers.
