Dream Theater - Falling Into Infinity Album Review

The Demo version of this album kicks the old version's ass! I still don't like it as much as the other albums though.

In all honesty. this CD is great. I think it has more of a nostalgic factor for me since its an album i kind of grew up with. Its not SFAM by far, but not much is... hells kitchen is amazing. But for the record I would much rather heard this album than SystChaos or BCSL.

I think this album got rid of some of the fans I wouldn't mind getting rid of. There are some great songs on this, but they are not like some of the other songs that they had released before. You had to have an open mind to accept this album; if you just wanted to hear more of the old Dream Theater, you wouldn't like this. So in a sense, they were left with fans with an open mind who truly like this because it's beautiful, not because it is something predefined. Good review.

I'm glad that there are people who enjoy this album..you're right there are 2-3 crapy songs, but the other's are just amazing

From what I've heard about Infinity, they should probably have cut out some of the songs, or just put in Raise the Knife et al. 77 minutes is just too long for an album that sounds as if it could be relaxing beach music. I love the idea of this almost aquatic atmosphere, but it doesn't work as well as the garden of Octavarium, as far as I've heard. I've only listened to a couple songs.
