Technically squawking this is not hip hop at all, it's known as progressive jazz movement with light R&B elements. It was produced years before Samurai Champloo, by a master composer, Yoko Kanno. She was considered visionary and received much notoriety throughout the east for her many works. Fat Jon, not the one most would think of, was noted in an interview that he took elements from her works...so there, let the record be straight, jive turkeys...
@PumpkinpoopsX Well, He had a reflective field around him. He knew Spike would shoot. He had no idea spike would throw the knife however. And being in a weakened state already, it was useless for him to fight back.
@TheCaptainQuantum Look at it this way. Cowboy Bebop has people who make smart comments on what was great about the show and why it won't be forgotten...Naruto on the other hand has them saying stupid shit like OMG THIS ANIME IS THE GREATEST EVER BECUASE ITS SO DEEP or something stupid along those lines. They know nothing and they can't accept watching other anime becuase they've got it dead set in their head that Naruto is the best and something with only 26 episodes and 1 movie is shit.
i imagine a shamploo version of the god father to this track and i think great things will come to anime but none will ever top Cowboy Bebop never not ever never

@notanon666 From the light on the helmet, it makes me think that maybe he's only of the people that "dug the gate" like the old men or what the song "Diggn'" describes.
ya like coming in from the metro or train while its raining an when u get off theres its like 3 in the morn n ur all alone or something i love this song has such a great feel to it
Rofl now that I think about it, if the guy who made Cowboy Bebop took over and made Inuyasha, there wouldn't be like 5000000 episodes of random garbage.
Spike would randomly appear, blow up the planet, laugh and fuck Kagome using a spoon.
yeah all of the cowboy bebop songs is so good to the ear, from funky, to jazzy , to some folkstyle/country(ex. diggin),to some "arabic sounds", to "melodically sad"(like this song) to whatever it sounds like..OST's of cowboy bebop is so awsome that you will really feel the "mood" of every song,,
Haha, I loved this at the beginning when spike was dreaming. I LOVE this show, I love it´s movie, I LOVE IT´S MUSIC... it´s just so damn sad it´s over...
however i think, sadly, samurai champloo has/went by the way of cowboy bebop and they've stopped making new episodes. if i'm wrong tell me cause that'd give me incentive to get satellite! haha.
I'm kind of glad both shows ended. That kind of creativity and talent would thin out and the show would have lost a lot of its artistic value anyway. That and Spike and Vicious would have never had a final showdown =(
Sounds like the sound of my life. . . only a little warmer.

The beginning of this reminds me of regaining conciseness after getting hit upside the head.
