Hey Adam! I just picked up one those Fulltone Fulldrive IIs I was wondering what settings are you using on them? and I also read in other comments that you ran your Blues Deluxe into a 4x12 cab?? Damn how much does that affect the sound? I've never experimented with speaker sizes, numbers or cabs. My Mesa Lonestar Special and the Keeley Comp seem to get a pretty nice tone for this song though. But I'm looking to sell my Mesa and getting a Deluxe Reverb.

I have loads of these to go through across all the different videos, but am determined to reply to everyone! :-) Congratulations on getting the Full Drive! Superb pedal! I change the settings according to the guitar and amp I use, so it won't always sound the same on other setups. And I reckon if you use a Blues Deluxe with that pedal, you'll pretty much nail this tone, as that's what I used for this. And please don't sell your Mesa! :-P

@AdamLeeGuitarist Haha yeah Adam I just decided on keeping my Mesa actually..I went to try out different Deluxe Reverbs and stuff I really like that Fender Tone though which is why I was thinking of going in that direction but the Versatility of this Mesa specially with the 5/15/30 watt options. I might pick up a blues junior though or maybe a Princeton Reverb, small lightweight and can be somewhat cranked in my room, and it will satisfy my urge for a Fender haha.

@LastMFBreathin Hey there! You can get it to sound quite close, probably. Stick it into the 4th position on your pickup selector (bridge and middle pickups together) and roll back the tone. See how that sounds - that produced remarkable sounds with my strat when I used it to play Santana in the past. Hope that helps, and nice to meet you on here! God bless. ;o)

@thedonace213 Thank you so much - you are very kind. I'm just using a little Fender Blues Deluxe, and have a Keeley compressor and Fulltone Fulldrive II ahead of the amp - and that's it! Just mic'd the sound into Pro Tools, and that's what you're hearing. Hope that helps! :-)

@thedonace213 Well, I'm not sure it helps, as all compressors are different, but there's a sort of master compression control, which i have set to just above halfway, same for the level boost / compensation control. Attack is up about a quarter of the way, and a "clipping" control up max or near to max. Hope that sort of helps! Let me know if there's anything else I can help with. ;o)

I'm so glad you liked it though! Santana is probably number 1 guitar hero, because of his gift of being able to coax pure emotion out of his instrument. My rendition doesn't come close, but you'll see what I mean if you hear the original of this song (one of many). How about you? Who are your inspirations, Nick?

I used a littel Fener Blues Deluxe combo, and ran it into a 4x12 loaded with Greenbacks, that I already had mic'd up. And a full drive and compressor (and chorus for the chorus-y bit) in front of the amp. That's about it! :-) Hope that helps. ;o)

As for the amp, it's a little Tweed Fender Deluxe, run into a 4x12 Marshall Tall Vintage cab, loaded with 25 watt Greenbacks. Not only do I love those speakers, but they were already mic'd up for recording, so I just made it easier for myself, and connected the cable to my Fender. Lol. :-) Hope that helps! Your tone is amazing for Santana, though, with your Lonestar. ;o)
