  • I look at breakfast in a whole new light. I will try your breakfast instead of bacon, sausage and eggs. I also love your exercise videos.

  • What a MILF..!!!

  • Cold cereals are good for breakfast but many cereals out there are enriched.

  • Heya, thanx a lot for this video. I would just like to ask you if when i eat bran flakes for breakfast , how much should i put in my plate? Considering i am about 5 foot tall.

  • Hi, I usually recommend a breakfast bowl which will probably hold about 1-2 cups. Then add some other healthy goodies like nuts, raisins, bananas, strawberries; whatever you like to add more nutrition.

  • @YouTips4U Thanx alot

  • that sounds like too much oatmeal there!!!

  • Where did you purchase the large bag of nuts? Especially the Pistachios

  • Trader Joe's.

  • I often eat cheerios with sliced bananas or quaker oats w/raisin date & walnuts or kellogs raisin bran cereal. Are these good/healthy choices for loosing weight? or are their health claims just false advertising? your videos are always very helpful and informative! keep it up :)

  • Hi, these are good choices. Just be sure that you choose cereals with more than 3 grams of fiber. You can always mix cereals too for higher fiber content. Adding fruit is a great way to add vitamins and fiber; so you're doing great. Have you tried adding fresh blueberries and strawberries. They're great too! If you find a cereal is too sweet, simply add some plain cereal to it. I'm glad you are enjoying my videos :o)

  • Thank, you! I'll try this :)

  • I'm looking for breakfast idea and your tips is definitely what am I looking for. Thank you very much. :)

  • thanks!!

  • You are definately my favorite America youtube guru! I've seen a lot, but you are so natural, so nice:)

Good luck in your job and I wish you a great success in your private life!

See you in the next video:))

  • Hi, thanks so much for your lovely feedback! I really appreciate your support and I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos :o) Take care.

  • check out the healthy muffin video I just made!

  • Thanks I will get the Irish oats to add to my regular quick oats. I usually eat the blueberries and banana slices to my oatmeal and sprinkle it with cinnamon flavor. I'm allergic to tree nuts so I have to pass that by and I can't stand cream of wheat. But thanks for the different types of oats. Great videos.

  • ow ow milf alert

  • We need more healthy diet videos. Excellent video.

  • Hi, when you have time, please take a look at my binge eating video; it has two parts. There are many tips in it to help get you through that craving that I think will really help you. Once is to give in to what your craving if you still crave it after 15 minutes, but just have small piece to help satisfy you and get it off you mind.

  • Hi, I really love cereal as you can see in the video and do not believe it will cause weight gain if you choose healthy high fiber cereals. If you are still hungry after one bowl perhaps you can add some other food groups to your breakfast like fruit and yogurt and nuts. You'll get a more well-rounded meal with more vitamins and protein to help you stay full longer. A little trick I do is to add a little peanut butter to my breakfast. Really helps me to stay fuller longer.

  • Great video! I'm big on Fiber... I love "Fiber Plus" cereal. I also love oatmeal! I'm on a journey to lose over 100 pounds, and fiber helps me not eat as much. You're beautiful! Thanks for sharing! :o)

  • this is the first time i know that the oat bran is way different to oatmeal.thanx!

  • awesome video...very helpful too!

  • Hi! So I had a reason for stopping by and wanting to leave you a message. :) I've seen your video months ago and decided to give it a try! I had a 340 total cholesterol and due to the Hashimoto's Disease, I've gained 35lbs. I take a lod of meds and I finally feel great. Your tips have been added to my morning routine and I am happy to announce that I've lost 20lbs!!! Never have I eaten breakfast before, coffee was my breakfast for years! Most important, my cholesterol is down to 144! :)))

  • @PixieGone THANK YOU!!! :)

  • CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I'm so glad I could help. Thanks so much for stopping by to share your experience with me and others. Keep up the good work; you're "making it happen" :o)

  • Very good video. Fantastic ingredients.

  • I love oats!I eat oats and I mix them with cinnamon and dried coconut powder.Do you think it is ok to mix these ingredients like that,or should I quit using the coconut powder?

  • Hi, I love oats too and cinnamon is great for you. I am really not familiar with coconut powder though, sorry.

  • This is such an awesome idea and so well put together.I am having this kind of breakfast from now on.It makes so much sense.I'll make sure to treat myself with an egg white omelet with veggies every once in a while. That would be ok ,,right?

  • Fiber raises your metabolism?

  • this is so genius. I eat this hot cereal every morning after seeing this video and i don't eat anything until 1 in the afternoon if i eat at 9 o clock. I stay energized and full! thank you:-)

  • I always add ground flax seed to my oats along with raw honey and almonds. :) Maybe some cranberrys..

  • Hey how much did you pay for those Brazil Nuts?

  • Probably $5-$6 at Trader Joes.

  • Thanks

  • i also use special k breakfast cereal.....is that okayy??? i get the strwberry kindd. is that alright to do????

  • Hi, special K is fine as it is lower in sugar, but there are cereals that offer you more fiber. Perhaps you can sprinkle a little wheat germ in it and have some fresh fruit on the side or perhaps in the cereal. A higher fiber cereal will help keep you feeling fuller longer. However, if you really like it, just add a bit more fiber to your overall meal. You can have a few nuts for extra protein as well.

  • @miley5353435353 No cereal is ok.

Also eating oats is not realistic for average people to get hooked on. Especailly when kids are in the house.

The problem is the diet industry is controlled by people with fast metabolisms and have never really lost weight.

  • Kids eat what you tell them to eat.

Oatmeal is good food and can be prepared even as pancakes to make practically everyone enjoy it.

The diet industry is not controlled by people with fast metabolisms.

They only have learned how to finally do something about their body and practice what they preach.

Lose weight and your metabolism will be faster too.

    :)

  • Yeah, right.

Bet you'r frustrated with how your body looks and it's cause on the diet/food industry as well...

Amazing how some people seem to keep failing at lving healthy, finding an enemy that keeps the fat alway's seem to be easier than have the guts and eat healthy for 30 days.

And there are a lot of fitness professionals who were overweight, finally took action , saw the results and are know passionate enough to teach others.

  • "Amazing how some people seem to keep failing at lving healthy"

Not everyone is born with high energy levels. Normal people are not. People are born with all types of different genetics and taste buds. It's the 1 in 1000 people that will cheerlead and post videos about how 'you can do it' and 'just eat oats like me'.

    I have lost 90lbs.

    Have you?

    Didn't think so.

So why are you more qualified to speak about dieting than me?

Because you were born skinny and with high energy levels?

  • I mean no, ANY kind of cereal is NOT ok. The cereal that is good for you, you will not eat and it's not really cereal. (i mean.. like.. you might eat it for 2 weeks until you can't take it anymore).

You need to learn to skip breakfast, or have a low calorie muffin with your morning coffee. No breakfast meals. No cereal at all. No bars. Prfereably just coffee, teas instead of breakfast would be best

But that's if you want to be serious about losing weight.

  • how about you take some advice..

    chill..

ik how u feel, i wasnt born skinny either..

trust im like 50 lbs over weight.. and great for you for losing 90 lbs. thats really great..

but i dont understand why you have to put rude comments like this on other peoples videos..

btw keep up the good work with ur weight..

oo and a treat every once in a while is ok (like having cereal lol)

so just calm dwon, she was only trying to help :)

    have a nice day!!

  • i love to make over easy eggs for breakfast when else can be made to start the day right?

  • Hi, have a some fruit with your eggs and perhaps something whole grain, like whole wheat bread or cereal with milk. Enjoy a glass of orange juice or milk too.

  • i think i'm in love.

  • Is it okay to eat honey? I eat it a lot, because I try to avoid sweets like candies, chocolate, cakes..?

  • Hi, it's o.k. in moderation like any other sweet. Honey is healthy for you, but it contains as much sugar grams per teaspoon as pure granulated sugar, actually a bit more. It's best to eat it sparingly like as spread on bread or in tea and baked goods, etc..

  • Trader Joe's Rocks!

    We love trader Joes

  • Is it bad not to eat a lot of breakfast or lunch because I only have a couple bites of fruit and or granola and a glass of milk because during the day I'm not hungry; I'm more hungry at night. Is that normal to be like that?

  • Hi, it's fine to eat when hungry, but try to avoid long periods of not eating because you don't want to over consume in the evening. You have trained your body to be hungry at certain times. Try to retrain it to balance your calorie intake a little better throughout the day. A small breakfast is fine. Then try to have at least two more healthful snack-meals before night-time to stave off excess hunger.

  • is cream of wheat a good breakfast?

like JUST cream of wheat, cus i love crea of wheat.

and how much of it should i use if it is ok?

  • Hi, cream of wheat is a great breakfast. I think a bowl full is nice and if you don't already make it with milk, you might want to consider it because it is definitely more nutritious for you. Also, have a little side of fruit for a nice balance.

  • what do you think about eggs with veggies and fruits in the morning??

  • I think it's great! You might want to add a carb, perhaps a slice of whole wheat bread or toast. It will help keep your blood sugar in balance and provide longer energy. Also, if you throw in a glass of milk, you've hit every food group! Hurray!!

  • Oh awesome I'll definitely try this starting tomorrow. I'm glad to hear nuts are good for you as I've always loved them.

Are any kind of fruits like apples, tangerines and bananas good to have a lot of during the day? I've always heard people saying they're so high in sugar but I've replaced all my snack options recently with just these kinds of fruits.

  • Hi, thanks so much for the terrific feedback. I love fruit too as a snack and to curb the effects on my blood sugar surging and then falling, sometimes I will add a protein or carb at the same time. For example, I will put peanut butter on my apple slices, or put a banana in my yogurt or cereal. It lasts much longer in my tummy that way and I don't get that sugar low in an hour or so.

  • Thanks! Great idea!

  • I dont know if you can suggest anything for this but I have a hard time eating in the morning. Im usualy hungry (especialy if its realy early) but I try to eat somthing and I cant get past a couple bites before I just cant eati it. Im hungry but the food tastes gross to me and dry. I just dont know what to do.

  • Hi, breakfast is so important for your body and really makes a difference to how you feel for the rest of the day. Perhaps you can think of something that you really like to eat and have that for breakfast, or perhaps just begin with some warm tea or hot cocoa prepared with milk for more vitamin.

  • Oh, and I have plenty of blueberries. ^_^ My grandparents have two long rows of blueberry bushes. Since I live right next to them, I help pick them in the summer. We get so many we have to sell them by the GALLONS. And we still have some left over, but we freeze those for family in Florida. Blueberries are one of their favorite things about coming to visit us. :)

  • Wow, you are a lucky girl! I would love to have fresh blueberries from my garden. I would plant them too if I could, but I don't have enough sun. I buy loads of them in the summer when they go on sale and freeze them to have for the winter months. Blueberries are so healthy for you!

  • I'm SO glad Cream of Wheat is good for you. I just looooooooove it. I think it's better than oatmeal, in taste anyway. :)

There isn't a Trader Joe's anywhere near I live. Do you know if Wal-Mart or Target or anyplace else carries good grain products?

  • I know Walmart definitely has grain products as do most supermarkets. Also, be sure to check the health food section of your supermarket too; they also stock grain products there.

  • hi.i eat what i want in smaller portions and i count calories , is doing this okay with your ab workouts and walking /running to still get good resuts

  • thanks a lot for posting all of your videos. they're extremely helpful and you seem like a sweet person. you shd have your own tv show

  • shrayich takleen 5ara intay

  • Is instant oatmeal any good the little packet things?

  • Hi, they are good, but I find that they are a bit sweet for me, so I'll add some regular quick oats to it to reduce the sugar content. I can actually get a few servings out of one packet doing that. Thanks so much for your comment!

  • you must spend about an hour making your brake fast getiing all the food ready lol

  • Hi, I guess it could look that way in the video, but it really doesn't take long at all - maybe 15 minutes from beginning until I'm done eating. You know how it is, once your have a routine, you do it very quickly. It's so worth it though because a good breakfast is so important. Thanks for your comment :o)

  • your hot

  • thank you very much for this. you are a lovely person. much appreciated.

  • You're very welcome! Thank you for you kind words :o)

  • but wouldn't you have to be real active to eat these food.. Because i have school and if i eat his in the morning...like 8am and sit from 8:30 to 12:00 lunch time. which im never really hungry..and then all the way until 2:30 when i walk home or if i have the energy go to the gym?

what would you recommend for me that has to sit for 8 hours! Do you think i will still have the energy afterschool to work out?

  • Hi, you really should have breakfast in the morning before school. It's the most important meal of the day. Even though you are physically inactive during school hours, your brain is burning an enormous amount of calories by learning. If you are not hungry at lunch, just have something light like fruit or yogurt to tie you over because if you wait too long you will become too hungry and lose energy. Perhaps the best thing for you is to have small snacks every few hours.

  • thanks yeah i think thats what i will try to do...Breakfast meal...snack for lunch..snack afterschool...dinner at 6 and im done :)

    Thanks.♥

  • You're very welcome! I'm happy to help :o)

  • thanks..im going to start eating oats..high fiber cereal and see if i lose weight.

  • I am a fan of oatmeal and tofu.

    this is great.

  • Thank you so much for this video.. I always have such a problem with breakfast... I do o.k. with lunch and dinner , but breakfast has always been a struggle.. love the suggestion of mixing cereals and about adding nuts and wheatgerm .. thank you

  • HI i love your tips! youre awesome. A quick question...Im trying to loose belly fat and i was wondering if 2% milk can work too??? cuz im not a big fan of skim milk? well thanx! =)

  • Thank you! Sure, you can use 2%. It's much better than whole milk. Suggestion: if you need to cook with it, like in oatmeal, etc. try using the skim because you're really not going to taste it since it gets absorbed during cooking, but for drinking and using it on cold cereal where your taste is involved - go ahead and use 2%. It's not a problem unless you drink excesses of it, then you might be added too many calories to your diet.

  • Wow you put this up just to help people? That's so sweet!

I know high fiber works for a lot of people but I've tried eating things like this before and they just make me sick for some reason. I don't know why-- maybe its because I've never had a lot of fiber before.

Anyway-- thanks for the advice! Maybe I'll give fiber another shot.

  • Hi, as long as you don't have any known allergies to wheat or gluten, give it another try. Start small though - adding just one small serving a day and see how you feel. There can definitely be a "getting used to fiber period" as your body adjusts to the new bulk. Always drink plenty of water when you have high fiber foods. Also, remember fruits and veggies have fiber too! Thanks so much for your comment!

  • Great health tips to liven up cereal based hot and cold breakfast food. What grains are in the tin of multi-grain?

  • Hi, thanks so much for your comment. The grains that I place into my hot cereal are: quick oats oatmeal, steel cut oats, Country Choice organic multi-grain hot cereal (contains rye, barley, oats, and wheat grains), oat bran, cream of wheat a/k/a farina, and wheat germ. I always cook in skim milk for added calcium.

  • Excellent tutorial! Very informative! Thanks!

  • I'm so glad you liked it! Thanks for the great feedback!!!

  • Thank you! Great tips~

I wasn't sure where to get the fiber before.

  • Thanks for sharing. I eat oatmeal every morning. I love the idea of mixing the cereals together. I put a couple slices of the soft tofu in my smoothies you can't taste it.

  • You're welcome! Thanks for sharing your idea about tofu in smoothies. I'm going to try that!
