i dont really see the point in the TrackIR thing, because when you got the cap on and you move your head to the side to look out of the cockpit window 'you' are just going to be looking at another part of you room.

Either that or you'll have to strain your eye to the side to be able to see.

@RandomCaptionVideos Actually IR tracking works VERY well and is quickly adjusted to. Head motion is not as much as you think. I turn my head 3-4 inches in reality, but on screen, my "head" has turned far enough to be looking over my (virtual) shoulder, at the rear seats. If you want to check it out, I built my IR tracking unit. Cost me less than 25 bucks. Check out Free Track if you're interested. All you need is some LEDs, a web cam and the ability to follow instructions.

sorry about the last few messages, i was half messing about, by the way im 21 not 24 (its wrong) and I( and obviously others) designed cars in progress: New Bentley Continental, new Ariel Atom 500, new Audi A5 and BMW M coupe's (such as M3 coupe, M5 coupe) I've also had to spend a little time in Germany with these cars (im from U.K) im only part time actor so i'm in various things (but not main charecters)

Of course, there are exceptions, for example if you're medically unable or if you don't have enough money.(but you can become a fighter pilot first- which is free- and then fly airlines.) a privet pilot license these days runs u up about $14,000 or like $10,000 $12,000 usd. where as this kind of setup may cost $2,000 or so and is not just for flight sims he can use it for wat u use your pc for he has just added the require components to enjoy something he likes, u need shit loads of flight hrs to fly airliners and years of experience and u cant just walk in off the street to be a fighter pilot. and not to mention the cost of fuel for a light aircraft and parking costs.

That's a good point. Of course I'm not saying you can walk in from the street and become a fighter pilot. I know excacly what it takes, because I will become one. You have to finish university first and then pass the medical and physical examinations. Then you can start the training, which is really hard, because you MUST be able to handle high Gs. gforce is the least of your worrys as a fighter pilot, its things like night time ifr and air refueling that will get u. and thats if u are selected . in australia there are 5 states and maybe 2 people out of 300 are selected from each state to become a fighter pilot. then u have the ones that fail the training.

Hmmm....I believe most people fail the medical examination. I know a few people who failed, because for example his foot was like 1.7 inches longer that the maximum or he was 31g more that 80kg. Soo...I believe that's it, if you can get through medical examinations from then on it isn't that bad. Of course as you mentioned there are the night time IFRs,air refueling and High Gs, BUT nothing is impossible, if others could do it, I can do it.
