I remember being amazed when this came third... not because it didn't deserve it, but in the 1990s the idea of Turkey coming anywhere near winning Eurovision - no matter how good their entry was - was incredible. Funny how times change - now they routinely finish in the top ten, sometimes with decidedly indifferent entries...
