There is a 300w heater under it that you set to the temperature you want. A water bed weigh close to 2000 lbs when filled. You put in as much water as feels comfortable to you.
Sorry, can't help you there. Ours is at least twenty years old. You are right, some matteress have a normal mattress portion around the outside and a water bag in the centre. These are probably easier to get in and out of. There are many places listed on Google search. Some offering free shipping.
@SoraPrincess99 ya thats probably one of the reasons why my family wont get a water bed cause everyone feels like if they have long fingernails or they let their pets on it, they will pop it and have water spray everywhere... on the walls, on the ceiling, on the carpet, everywhere so they just decided not to do it
@Major2219 No, They actually help your back more than ever. Water beds are good for you, I'm positive.Normal beds are spring beds that jerk back up when you apply weight on them, water beds keep at your level and where your back position is and doesnt bounce around. I don't know if that made any sense, but anyway lol
i used to have a water bed i once jumped on the bare bed and that shit hurt felt like a big smack
