@gatheringleaves I can just imagine, but this is my interpretation of the Third Eye: everyone, including animals, has got two eyes, of course. And the third eye is a human gift which some people use for better understanding of the world but, unfortunately, most of the people forget it. To see the things which normally people do not see, to penetrate into deeper parts of the world: world of emotions, world of other people, world of metafisics. Personally, I call it "the third, spiritual eye".
Yeah, it's called 'The Cell' and stars Jennifer Lopez, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Vince Vaughn.
No one really watches is it for the story, though. The plot is pedestrian, boring, high-concept bullshit. What people love is the visual style of Tarsem Singh, the director. He's a genius.
I've never seen a more visually interesting film than 'The Cell.' Tarsem Singh is the director Alexander Proyas wishes he could be.
@ChildeRolandofGilead Tarsem Singh isn't really all that great, he borrows just about everything from surrealist paintings. He did a good job with symbolism though.
@ChildeRolandofGilead I think Tarsem caps himself with "The Fall". And it has a great story to boot. Vaughen and Lopez weren't great casting. But yeah, visual orgasms all around.
Movies about serial killers ain't disturbing me the least cause they tend to be made by sensitive people - real psychopaths disturb me though - like the whole traditional mafia movie scene - those films are made by cold blooded peeps.
Can somebody tell me where I can get this song? I don't know why but I love music like this.. I have a thing for demented songs... don't know what it is but if you can tell me where to find this song, that'd be great.
This is a movie I could watch many times and still enjoy. The cinematography is stunning! Tarsem Singh and Eiko Ishioka are both geniuses.

I love this movie espacially the part with the 3 women looking up the sky, looking like they're scared to death (litterally). But I hate Jlo
Nyuu777 4 years ago 3
I agree, the three women are extremely disturbing! But I like to be disturbed lol
I love this film, I think it's really underrated.. probably because it stars Jennifer Lopez. But I think she's great in it.
