Someone Must Have Seen This Because Now They're Making A Doctor Who/Star Trek Crossover Comic With The 11th Doctor, Picard and the Next Gen Crew against the Borg and the Cybermen
@MsEcogeek I heard about that. Im not very familiar with Dr.Who, besides a few facts, but i am very familiar with Star Trek and the Borg. Unless the Cybermen are able to provide a real edge against the Federation, they would just be another species for assimilation. Add the fact that once the Borg achieve there goal they will turn on there "Ally".
@porpus99 The Cybermen are basically the Borg but with an outer shell and The Doctor is quite similar in personality to Q and what you said about the Borg turning on they're "Allies" the Cybermen do the exact same thing so I think it sounds like it could be really funny and interesting
pity about the Bill and Ted one have a shirt with the reverse with them finding the Tardis Police Box and vice versa, 10th Doctor finding their Telephone booth
Gasp!!! Kevin, that's not fair, dangling a carrot like that before our faces!!! OHHH!! Why can't the BBC and Hollywood come together?? This is cool!!!
I think the TNG crew and the Doctor would get along quite well. The Doctor can travel through time and the Enterprise can travel through star systems.
@Vulcans101 Now that you mention it, I'm confused too. LOL I think when I did it, the Doctor is telling Picard and company to RUN, and he's also against the Borg... I think... :)
thats kool, imagine that every book, every movie, every imagination became a real universe paralell to ours! and maybe in another paralell people are watching us on their tvs and movie screens!
@MegaAwesomeFilms It's three pieces of music, the first bit is the opening throb from the Doctor Who Adventure Game Trailer, the main music is "The Doctor's Theme" orchestrated especially for the 2010 Doctor Who Proms, the third is also taken from the 2010 Doctor Who Proms and it's called "Vale Decem". Oh how I love Ben Foster and Murray Gold!
@BlackScarabZ Just to add to Black Scarab's comment, it's the one where Max Headroom appears from the future (he claims), and then starts nicking off with PADD's and Tricorders.
@personzorz the tardis defence program would kick in (some how i dont think the borg could accomadate an 11 demenshinal being in there 4d ship (by my understanding we all operate on 4d's height width depth and time))
@doctorwho24343675 The opening and ending "Throbs" are from the Doctor Who Adventure Game music, and the rest came from the 2010 proms. It's called "I Am The Doctor" with a special arrangement by Ben Foster just for the Proms.
Ah, sooo awesome!!! I realize the Trek through Time took you a long time to make (and it was fantastic!), but it would be so epic if you could make this into a series!! I love Next Gen and Doctor Who!!! :D
@CLSmith71 Thanks! We did Trek Through Time which took 18 months. Which is a bit much, I'll leave it to someone else to do another one. :) But I'm glad you enjoyed this trailer.
@Kelvington Actually, the process isn't called Rotoscoping. Rotoscoping is, by definition "an animation technique in which animators trace over live-action film movement, frame by frame, for use in animated films." For you to have rotoscoped that footage, it would need to be animated.
@agmgtw Yea, this is where this gets confusing, because the original concept of rotoscoping dating back almost 100 years. Koko the clown was lifted out of a cartoon & put in real film. The confusion comes because a film like "Waking Life" used a rotoscoping technique to get the outline & then cover it with animation. Rotoscoping has become a generic term dealing with animation, but it's really the process of lifting one element a frame at a time from one film into another.
@Arhtass The first music comes from the 2010 Doctor Who Proms it's a specially orchestrated version of the "Doctor's Theme" from Series 5, the last part is the moment of David Tennant's regeneration into Matt Smith.
Very nice editing. Very bad puns *grins*. As for the Borg, the Doctor's got 45 years of fighting the Cybermen under his belt. He'll have 'em sorted in no time ;~D
"A crack is time saves nigh" doesn't make any sense. I assume it's based upon the proverb "a stitch in time saves nine", based on the concept that, if your clothes tear, repairing them straight away will prevent the tear from getting bigger and needing more stitches to repair. But "nigh" doesn't make any sense at all. It's not even a noun.
when it said another time another place, in my head I was going the words would only rhyme, we'd be in outer space... (I'm not a renthead pffft) which would actually make sense!
Not a bad video. But, I prefer Trek through Time. The Borg scenes and the crack in the viewscreen and the "YOU to move over" were cool, but the color tone of TNG and DW don't match up well at times. Like some 9th Doctor parts of your Trek through Time.
Man, I'd LOVE to see Sir Patrick Stewart on Doctor Who, I heard they'd been considering a legit Enterprise/Who crossover episode before Enterprise ended.
At the end of the episode something else appears out of warp and they have no idea what it is so they try to contact it but then the battlecry that made the universe fear them saids "EXTERMINATE" The borg think there nothing and they will be assimilated but the daleks reply that their empire is nothing compared to theirs and 20,000,000 ships drop out of warp. The borg nearby send only 30,000 ships.
The Federation vs The Borg vs The Daleks vs The Doctor
Only continuity problem is... Star Trek actually exists as a TV show in the Whoverse. In "The Empty Child", Rose references "spock". However, as a proper sci-fi fan and Whovian, I am willing to overlook this inconsistancy for the sake of an awesome crossover!
@notablegoat Oh yea, that's a fair point. I used CE saying "Mister Spock" in my Trek Through Time videos. It's odd though Doctor Who has only been put in as an Easter Egg in TNG when a list of names came up and was all the actors that played the Doctor up to McCoy.
@simpsonfan1995 In TNG: "The Neutral Zone", an on-screen graphic of Clare Raymond's family listed William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davidson and Colin Baker among her descendants.
@notablegoat Have 10.5 and Rose encounter them, the fun thing about Pete's World is that it allows for all sorts of crossovers that normally wouldn't work.
@notablegoat There was an episode in JLA Unlimited that could give a handy explanation/ Paraphrased, it goes like this: Star Trek is in fact in a parallel universe to the Whoniverse (and vice Versa). Psychically sensitive people are able to pick up on the future events in that parallel universe and used it to make a series.
@Peteman12 That's kinda what I was thinking, actually! That's how I'd do it if I was making a crossover. However, I think that there are other sci-fi shows that might work better for a crossover. Like, say, Stargate. Can't you just see the The Doctor admiring the Stargate? "Oh, you are beautiful..."
@Peteman12 I had an idea that after the daleks invasion of Earth, the borg came to Earth is First contact an tried to stop cockren from getting into space but the Picard stopped them and the rRmbulans landed, thus you have your alt universe.
@notablegoat The only enemies that I can think of that will make this awesome crossover even more awesome are the Borg and the Cybermen teaming up (albeit temporarily or separately).
The Borg would make good Doctor Who enemies, mostly because they possess many qaulities similar to a certian other race of cybermen...er... cyborgs....
Awesome, the Star Trek and Doctor Who universes do kind of fit together. The timelords are somewhat Q like, and there were references to a time war, that I don't think was really expanded upon, in both. Oh, and the Cybermen and Borg could probably be allies.
@Kelvington It'd be a smart idea on both sides. With such a large two fan-bases they'd make trillions. Same with star wars. Except star wars finished...
Inspired by you, I came up with a plot for a series of my own, I made a trailer that will finish uploading soon, it's very similar to yours, and I hope you don't mind but I borrowed two of your edits from this trailer, the ones with the borg trapped Amy and Doctor, If you want me to remove it I will.
I will also note that it's inspired by your trailer on the video description.
There actually WAS s Star Trek and DW crossover...(sort of).
In an animated episode of DW, featuring the 8th doctor, he put on a space helmet, the helmet had the designation NCC1701 on it. The helmet was similar in style as ones featured in ST:TOS.
@dezoblok So was I. :) I thought maybe "thepurplecrystalz" was talking about Trek Through Time. Other than that I'm not sure where he thinks they had a crossover.
@dezoblok Not sure what he means by that, in Doctor Who Trek Through Time, I did use a shot where I called "Section 31 - Torchwood Division" or maybe it's the idea that Section 31 was part of Torchwood, but I've never heard of a real cross over.
wow this is amazing. other than when the doctor is put on the bridge and showing him and dr crusher on screen together this looks totally real and not a fake mash up. good job.
fantastic, I love the part were the tardis goes into the entiprize, if only this was going to be a real movie, I would watch it the first day it came out
Epic! I'm glad they didn't do a crossover with Enterprise! That would have been boring. No,Enterprise was alright but I fell asleep watching one episode!
this has to happen, star trek and doctor who are awesome, maybe doctor who might get a bit more serious if they did this ;) plus the star trek can show them how a proper sci-fi should should look ;)
This is pretty neat, although the TARDIS could just tractor beam the Borg Cube and dump it somewhere else. I mean it tractor beamed Earth in "Journey's end" and a neutron star in "Creature from the Pit." I doubt a Borg Cube can do the same.

How have torchwood and star trek teamed up????
dezoblok 11 months ago
@dezoblok Not sure what he means by that, in Doctor Who Trek Through Time, I did use a shot where I called "Section 31 - Torchwood Division" or maybe it's the idea that Section 31 was part of Torchwood, but I've never heard of a real cross over.

O.0 dayum. star trek and doctor who really need to pair up, torchwood did. i wish the x-files would have also. but star wars? no way.

wow this is amazing. other than when the doctor is put on the bridge and showing him and dr crusher on screen together this looks totally real and not a fake mash up. good job.

Epic! I'm glad they didn't do a crossover with Enterprise! That would have been boring. No,Enterprise was alright but I fell asleep watching one episode!

@dazlovescarter All the TNG footage was taken from "A Matter of Time".

@Kelvington Yeah, accept for all the Best of Both Worlds, Cause and Effect, Remember Me, and Q Who footage, at least.

Not bad. Kinda corny with the catch lines, but the editing was magnificent. I'd definitely watch this.

Awesome. It makes me wonder how cool a Dr. Who / Babylon 5 mashup would be. He'd so get on with Marcus and Delenn...

This is brilliant! No idea how you did it but it is extremely good!

I always get so giddy when I watch these! I wish things like this could happen in the shows themeselves. Anyway, great job as usual!

This is pretty neat, although the TARDIS could just tractor beam the Borg Cube and dump it somewhere else. I mean it tractor beamed Earth in "Journey's end" and a neutron star in "Creature from the Pit." I doubt a Borg Cube can do the same.
