  • I meant the temple is flat. In the Army days past, they would have sung it with lots of joy.

  • The great song Power in the Blood sounds flat. They need to pivk up the temple.

  • @Gary98854 ::: But it is such a groovy band arrangement. Sounds flat? Do you mean key-wise or lack of enthusiasm? They are in the temple, and will not be able to pick it up.

  • Glasgow Kelvin Hall Scottish Congress......anyone remember?......seems like a million years ago in the days when I used to be a........

  • very good and energetic persons

  • 1:49 There are some really big glasses which were fashionable (not that Salvationists are permitted to follow worldly fashions), were 'available for sale' in the nineteen-eighties. . Jessica Fletcher had big glasses up until 1990. . The bonnets look early 1980's but the mens' hair look mid 1980's And renting the Opera House was common in those days; any community group could hold sing-songs there; it doesn't look like the concert hall, is it the recording studio? . . Cheers. from, del-boy
  • Thanks Sunrise2bee et al, have updated video info

  • It certainly is Sydney. I know most of the bandsmen from SCH. Very young looking Ron Prussing and Ian Martin!

  • How 'bout them trombones !!

  • Sorry, I just remembered it was a year before... somewhere between May '89-'90. (I had my "21st" in Sydney - had to do the math! ) The ladies in the bonnets are from the Hurstville corps.

  • I thought this might help in placing the date - it is somewhere between May of ' 90 to May of '91. (I lived in Australia for a year). I can't remember the month the congress was held, but I am pictured in the Songsters. Lovely memory.

  • I think it is the 80's because of the glory flags which were very popular then and as well you had a combination of the old bonnets and the newer hats.

  • Elonga na solo ezali na Yesu. Tozalaka na elikia bandeko Oyo ezali banzembo ya mpiko. Tobosanaka te.Amen Muana Angola.

  • bring back the bonnets lol :)

  • i would like to have this arrangement for the songsters in Kenya East Territory! Can someone send it in an email to me? pietvanaltena@yahoo.com

  • Is this a cult?

  • @mzk3812 :::Not a cult. The Salvation Army has a Methodist background.

  • That's the good old army and more bonnets !!!!

  • The Band is Sydney Congress Hall and the event is a Congress meeting at The sydney opera House......year unknown

  • are you sure? this doesn't look 90's... more like... 70's....

  • Rubbish!!...

  • All I know is it's in Sydney and I think from the 1990s

  • Love the arrangement. What band is this? All those bonnets - can't be very recently that this was recorded.
