@InKa4484 My great aunt died when I was tripping on mushrooms, she was an incredibly warm, intelligent and loving person and I loved her very much, if I hadn't been tripping I don't think I would ever have managed to get over it. And mushrooms are far more volatile than LSD.

My mushroom expirience was however the greatest experience of my life, and i cannot imagine any psychadelic being an improvement. Though a persons moods can change very quickly and many factors can play into one's reactions with psychadelics. For you it may be helpful but for other it may cause harm. Brain chemistry changes from person to person.

I panic when i smoke weed, like freak out. I hate the feeling of being unstable and not in control but one has to realize that all of those things are born from you. They exist because you created them. I would love to be able to open myself up to the experiences of lsd experimentation , however I am not mentally strong enough to tune in to somethin that strong.

One consistent factor that will guarantee a bad trip is if your are religious. It is my felling that the drugs allow you to see God's network, but don't allow you to do much more with it, maybe small manipulations. I know people in my churchs that have visions, I think that if you let God give you the visions when he wants, you'll get to do a lot more with them. It takes work, but I think it has to be on his terms, not ours.

Meaning there is a lot of thought behind my actions that stems from my own observations. I do not use drugs to "get off my face". I used to. I used to smoke weed for England. Now I no longer do, nor do I drink. Yet twice per year or so, I take mushrooms, LSD or Mescaline. i don t believe in LSD. i m not saying you can t have a good trip or a trip that would change you or anything like that. i think that LSD is such a strong drug that it can also be quite destructive, or even really strange. it is much better to be enlightened by religion,meditation,love,novels,poetry as mind expansion,enlightenment.

Billions of people around the world live with tobacco addiction and don't seem to mind. Now lets say the most responsible person in the world takes a hit of lsd. @InKa4484 My great aunt died when I was tripping on mushrooms, she was an incredibly warm, intelligent and loving person and I loved her very much, if I hadn't been tripping I don't think I would ever have managed to get over it. And mushrooms are far more volatile than LSD.
A bad trip is only the result of being forced to face things we don't want to aknowlege, the things we smooth over in ordinary consciousness. That is far more dangerous in my humble opinion.

@MrAudiovideodisco I've heard people say that lsd is "cleaner" than psilocybin but i don't understand this at all since i've only done psilocybin. My mushroom expirience was however the greatest experience of my life, and i cannot imagine any psychadelic being an improvement. Though a persons moods can change very quickly and many factors can play into one's reactions with psychadelics. For you it may be helpful but for other it may cause harm. Brain chemistry changes from person to person.

This is why Huxley made such a strong point of using them intellectually. I respect you for at least trying to find enlightenment, even if you've chose a different medium than I, but please don't look down on people who use chemicals to expand their mind and certainly don't purport that your way is much better.

@rjohson 100 micrograms of LSD is not even the slightest bit toxic,much less fatal. (a microgram is one millionth of a gram,there are 28 grams in an ounce.) As far as I know there are no recorded cases of death. Lsd is so easily assimilated in the human body that until very recently it was impossible to trace minutes after ingestion. In those days it was legal,and Huxley was a very prominent figure;the likelyhood of his supply being anything less than pure is extremely low.

I panic when i smoke weed, like freak out. I hate the feeling of being unstable and not in control but one has to realize that all of those things are born from you. They exist because you created them. I would love to be able to open myself up to the experiences of lsd experimentation , however I am not mentally strong enough to tune in to somethin that strong.

@ccaig Good call..I have dosed literally 100's of times (mostly in the 70's and 80's) and your absolutely right It takes a certain mentality/intellect to take LSD and fully absorb and explore the experience without "freaking out". One consistent factor that will guarantee a bad trip is if your are religious. Every single time I've dosed with somebody who is religious they have freaked out , questioning their beliefs and the very fabric of reality...Damn ..I really miss good clean pure LSD25 ;-)

I did just go to Phish at the Greek (in Aug) and found some nice clean LSD but it was very very weak, I had to take 6drops just to get off and get my groove on ;-)

It is my felling that the drugs allow you to see God's network, but don't allow you to do much more with it, maybe small manipulations. I know people in my churchs that have visions, I think that if you let God give you the visions when he wants, you'll get to do a lot more with them. It takes work, but I think it has to be on his terms, not ours.

I got cured of OCD (which was ruining my life.) at that point & life got easier. We never even read the Bible in CCD, it was ridiculous. But as for getting involved with drugs again, well, that was a mistake, you can't really follow after God and do drugs at the same time, you don't wanna trip out and try to contact God, not good.

I do not use drugs to "get off my face". I used to. I used to smoke weed for England. Now I no longer do, nor do I drink. Yet twice per year or so, I take mushrooms, LSD or Mescaline. Other drugs (and due to MY obsessive nature, I include cannabis in this) have just screwed me up and done more harm than good. Psychedelics are another story. They helped me beat depression and helped me identify issues I wanted to change about myself. They are tools...and should be used with respect.

A friend of mine who got her PhD from University of Moscow said that when she heard that the Americans only taught behaviorism, and were using cognitive behavioral therapy she thought it was just anti-American propaganda. I am grateful to have been a part of a generation of Americans who were fortunate enough to have used LSD, the good stuff from the early 70's that really healed my abused and alienated mind.
