You are right, western media has often, made stuff appear a certian way. But this however... you can't fake all these videos, many are from Iranians himself.

BTW - USA was founded on Democracy. Before Democracy USA was just 13 colonies.Through Democracy my country was freed from a dictator king, sorta like yours, if you live in Iran. Through Democracy we gained the Freedom of speach, Equal rights, and the right to question our government and vote our president out of office if necessary. One thing is for certain. In the USA and other countries there are checks and balances on power including how the votes are counted. Ultimately these electors are responsible to the voters--ie. the citizens of the united states.

I believe Iranians got tired of a president who is always negative, combative, supporting terrorists like the Hamas, eliminating Israel from the map, when they could lead a happy, quiet life with their neighbors, improve their status in life, enjoy a good life for their families, travel, go to school, then there will be more tourists coming in so we can see the old civilization of Persia. m410, shooters must be brought to justice, and if someone had given them direct orders, so should they. politics is important but human life is above all. it's kind of ironic when you think how people view us and iran as being at different points in the scale of democracy yet both iran and united states exercise the death penalty showing no respect to human life. many people get shot "by mistake" in states as well so I guess this can be considered a kettle pot situation.

thuderbay that is bs, people make the rules, they can also change them. a rubber bullet loaded gun or a pepper gun would be a better choice to use as a defensive weapon against a crowd. nothing justifies governments killing people. if american cops used rubber bullets, which can effectively immobilize anyone without killing them (the risk is much lower) many lives would have been spared. maybe the official policy is to kill to avoid the imprisonment and judicial costs to the state, who knows?

Romania 1989, tv's showed streets filled with bodies claiming these people were killed by Ceausesku's armed forces.
