  • That's Urdu. 'Dil gaya' means, well. It literally translates to 'heart going' but it's used to mean you're in love, as if your heart has 'gone' to someone.

    Yep.

  • @theceltictipper and MuddahNatur, thanks,I hadn't seen one before I'd heard about but never saw one,I missed understood the guy doing the introductions of the band members,I thought he said her name was Jade,it's Jenny

  • The f... I can't write links. lol.

  • @gpshaggin77 no, man, it's an hurdy-gurdy. It's an european instrument very used in medieval and also occitanian music.

    Here:

  • What is that instrument Jade is playing in this video? The lead singer of Faun playes one to and I never saw one of them before.

  • @gpshaggin77 i think it's a nyckelharpa

  • its not pronounced dil jaya its dil gaya [g as in goat]

  • there should be something called tantric music

  • What does 'Dil Gaya' actually means? I've been searching and using an online translater and it gives things like 'By Heart'. Is it actually that that it means? Or does any1 knows what Omnia means with it? :)

  • @Aedren

Well 'Dil Se' means 'From the Heart' so it's definitely possible.

  • @bonnet0uk

Ok, thanks for the information! :)

  • @bonnet0uk witch language would it be?

  • Just discovered this song this morning on Pagan Radio over at 365 -- this is great! I feel at home - wish I could get more music like this...

  • The Sandman says .. A master Piece!!

  • Omnia - Aweakening Carnal desires since 2000

  • what is the name of the musical instrument at the beggining?

  • @jin54363 didgeridoo, its the most beautifull instrument ever in my opinion, beside the thin whistle ofcourse :p

  • @Bpositivetothemax

thanks for telling me, this didgeridoo also appears in the soundtrack of the anime shigurui, and this instrument looks to be used more often in shamanic tribes.

  • This sounds arabic. One question: To what extent is the dijeridoo celtic?

  • @EdwinMarc It's not celtic at all. This is what gives Omnia such a unique "neoceltic" sound. Dijeridoo's were created by the wonderful indigenous Australian Aboriginals.

By the way, Omnia performs in a variety of styles, they sing in a multitude, one of which being Persian!

  • @omgsomanynamestaken It's one of the greatest folk bands I have ever heard. And yes, their sound is unique. I am really in love with their music. :)

  • A todos os meus amigos FB e TW, um bom ano de 2011!

  • I love it!

  • They need to come to Canada....! Hint hint

  • I like the guitarist's makeup on his face.

  • These are the most intelligent in the cosmos, not idiots, friends~

  • This Turns Me on.Get My insticts UP.

  • Not to shabby, for praise music.

  • Omnia = Love. They will forever be my favorite.

They prove that Pagans aren't just treehugging idiots in skirts.

We're TALENTED treehugging idiots in skirts!!!

  • @sharkapillar LOL

  • @sharkapillar you just made my day with that comment :)))

  • Lol!

  • @sharkapillar

pagans are talented in music, food, culture, religion, festivals, as warriors, and specially with knowledge of nature and spirits. always love to you pagans!

  • oowh ik hou van Omnia!

ze zijn zo super live en grappig :)

  • Pagan music for witches and wizards (L

  • I hope the real world will be once as pretty as this song...

  • I wish omnia would come to the central US so I could see them. How I love this band.

  • @fiernocht Oh HELL yes! I would love to see these guys, and I bet they'll get a much better following in the US. I would love to see them play their rap at the White House and piss off our bureaucratic plutocracy.

  • this really is my song :) i love to dance on it :)

  • wonderfull!!!! i love it

  • This is really kool, but honestly the audience is ruining it for me. -.-

  • why?

  • @ Bahaumet666

    what's wrong with the audience?

  • @Bahaumet666 Exactly what sort of audience were you expecting at an Omnia concert? They're not exactly known for producing "elevator music" favored inside Swiss banks, my friend.

  • Ich freu mich auf Selb am 11.9. bis 13.9.

Omnia Live und ich darf dabei sein.

  • greatest..best regards from russia.serge

  • 5*'s!!

  • Dijeridoo, doumbaek, shaom, and a hurdy gurdy!? Sweet. Thanks for sending me the link erwinzoutman.

  • The dijeridoo actually is a `Slideridoo`, a didge that can slide and make different notes :)

  • I'm a didgeridoo player myself and am anxious to get a tuneable dij. All the sliding ones I've found SUCK, but I'm sure there is a perfect one out there for me.

  • I once saw a keyed didge on youtube with buttons like a wind instrument like a clarinet. It was so awesome.

  • @jen8infinity /watch?v=nVn_60ps8yM I found the keyed didge, it's so funny to hear the baseline go :P
