how did he get the scratch? you never see it in the movie. he comes close when the giant thing and Leonidas are battling but you never see it scratched or anything.

@mwgfghost it wasnt shown in the film how it happened but historically i think it was actually an infection or something that cost him his vision in that eye and was sent back

My bf and I have watched this movie several times now and we both agree that you don't actually see his eye get hurt.

The actual history/legend says it was an eye infection, from what I recall. Hm. However, his rag is bloody in various scenes and the King says "scratch" so I assume it is meant to be a wound here.
