  • Love the flugelhorn solo . Just so controlled, no hurry or fluffed notes.

  • On bass is the unmistakeable, incomprable Cleveland Eaton.

  • It must hurt musicians to know that Count Basie, way beyond his prime, was still better than ANYTHING else around!

  • @wlipman I don't think so. A true musician enjoys Basie's music.

  • Gregg Field was not as spectacular or showy as say Butch, Duffy, or Sonny but he was a great solid all around swinging drummer that fit right in with the Basie rhythm section.

  • @stevebul Well, when you say Sonny, you must know he was one of the greatest drummers in history!

  • As i often say : "nightmare for plastered feet" music , is the best ;o)
