I have the Chickpeas in water right now w/o baking soda....I was going to just put them in blender tomorrow until I saw this clip....   • I just made this but I didn't have any Tahini so I used a dash of Sesame oil..It worked really well, in fact I'd say it tasted better.

  • I failed at hummus until I watched this. Oh, so you have to BOIL the chickpeas, not only soak them. Fuck you, all other hummus recipe writers!

  • @Jape1990 Yeah, it's funny about that. I see so many recipes calling for food processors when just mashing it up in a bowl with a pestle or something would do. I can't really afford food processors (neither the cost nor the kitchen space) so I'll opt for the old fashioned hand-made route!

  • I think you did a great job!! But you should be more careful with the water i think you waste to much and you leave water running once at 1:20. We have to be more aware and green this days.

  • @Musefulable if you want to be green sell your car and walk. that's whats causing the problem. i saw the 120 mark...didn't look like any waste to me. just had her hands full.
