Yes, studio version (An early inspiration to me). Creatively adapted pics; probably from where the poster said. Applause at the end from unspecified hands.
I loved listening to this on the radio back in 1968. I always had thought they were called "Love's Culture" until a few years ago watching an episode of Outer Limits when one character said to the other something like "You listen to Love Sculpture? I love that group." I still think "Love's Culture" was a better name. :)
Back in the day my buddies and I would always argue about who was the fastest guitar in rock. Some said Clapton, some said Jimmy Page some said Alvin Lee. One night I put on "Farandole" by Dave Edmunds...I rest my case!
I remember seeing these guys live way back in the late 60's. Edmunds was using a Fender Telecaster -- they played this song for a good 20 min. or so with drum solo & bass solo, as well. Still have the original LP with this song. Man, those were the days for raw guitar.
@VoodooFlintstone I don't know. I would have loved to buy records and all that jazz. And I hate everything they bring out now-a-days. I love 6os, 70s, 80s and a few things from the 90s. Freddie Mercury, Hermann's Hermits, Slade, Now THATS some amazing music.
Woah I just read back on my comment you replied to, my comment makes no sense...
Anyways, what I meant was, if we were around in the 60s, as we got older we may not have liked the music in the coming generations ya know?
Like when I speak to an older person and they are like "I love the Beatles but hate the Rolling Stones" which to me makes no sense, becos I like all 60s music.
@VoodooFlintstone I like Freddie. Especially Bohemian Rhapsody. My taste in music is really like my dad's. That's good though. The only music he doesnt like that I like is the Dixie Chicks, though I've inherited country music from my nan, so really I'm like the older members of my family. I suppose my taste in music is because, as a freelance novelist, I love things that tell a story. You can't hear the words in most of the crap now-a-days.
@delaedenbailey Don't know if I'd call the Dixie Chicks country, they get lumped in that genre but to me they are ridiculously mainstream and don't really have any similarities with proper old country.
Yeah I got bored of Queen a long time ago, their brand of Larger than Life, Mega Bucks making mainstream Stadium Opera Rock just doesn't do it for me.
@VoodooFlintstone Also, have you seen Heartbeat? Its British, so unless you live here I doubt it, but it's amazing. It's a police drama set in the 60s in Yorkshire. I watch it and love looking at all the clothes, listening to the music, and wishing I owned those cars. If you havent I made a video of it to commemorate it cos the channel that are showing it are scrapping it. Just look on my channel and there it is.
@delaedenbailey Weirdly enough, i was looking for Khachaturian's version of this today whilst Heartbeat was on ITV3 (it was that one where some Liverpudlian Modern Artist was on the run from the Mob).... and I never usualy take much notice of TV, but I got quite gripped in that!
some people belive during 60S and 70S the music didnt achive his complete developed , this its one prove , the creativity get those groups never were achive again
Always thought this might be in F# - speeded up in the recording from E. How wrong! He he is [resembling J Beck?] clearly playing it in G. Ah well, 39 years put right.
I bought this single as a kid in 1969, after seeing them on Top of the Pops back then. No doubt the thick heads at the BBC have wiped it, as well as nearly everything from this era.
a blast from my past! from the Locarno in Coventry about 1969, on the bill with the Nice and their amazing!!! Brandenburger

Holy Underpants, I never knew Dave Edmunds had this prowess.

I love the sixties - I'm somewhat annoyed by the fact that I was born in the 90s. I never got to live through it.
delaedenbailey 1 year ago
@delaedenbailey True, but we also, being born later have much more open minds about music.
We may not dig what came out in the 70s, 80s or 90s.
Also, we get to live thru awesome 60s re-issues of stuff that would have been unknown to people in the 60s.
