Stop. This is a meteorite within the Earth's atmosphere. It doesn't necessarily follow that it came "from" the moon because it was in the same part of the sky.

that is why you need a camera with a manual exposure ring then people can identify the subject much better. Those objects must be huge judging by their size compared to the relative size of the moon.

I've seen four fireballs in my lifetime, and I don't really look up all that much. LOL One was very impressive and I got to watch it from horizon to horizon. It was amazing. Looked just like a ball of flames with flaming chunks falling off it at it sped across the sky.

on the last clip of it it looks (to me) like it starts to head back up at an angle...anyone else see that? A meteor would not head back up. Nasa is finding many meteors lately a day or two before they pass by. Just saying, thats not much warning, and why the sudden uptick on near-earth objects anyway. Spaceweather com showing near earth meteors for December now that wasn't posted a week or so ago. 2011, has opened up MY EYES, for sure. especially after the same tornado that ripped through Phil Campbell Alabama, also tore down my town and missed my brothers family by only 125 yards on April 27th 2011.

That was not a fireball meteor, don't know what it was but it was not a meteor..I don't see how anyone can rationalize this as one, That was huge and it didn't disappear, as big as the moon, doesn't anyone else find this totally mind boggling ? on december 4,2011 in the US - there was only a half moon. not a full moon like this one in japan... :-(

@pinkprincessofpower it only appears full because the camera is meant to work in low light + it's infrared.... the light washes out the shadow on the moon, just a camera thing.
