  • How did you get the black coating off of it?

  • @M3iscool I used a coarse grit sand paper to start and worked my way to a finer grit.

  • @XX7Saint Oh, that's all? Okay. Thanks for replying.

  • so you just used mustard? and thats it?

  • @300in1Warrior Mustard, onion and vinegar.

  • @WildManNatureBound I ordered them from New Graham Knives. And thank you for the compliment.

  • were did u get the grips for your bk2 ? thanks btw awesome knife!!!!!!!!!!

  • @WildManNatureBound Yeah I guess he does.lol. And thanks for compliment and the comment.

  • That looks awesome!

  • @PhillieBRidin Thank you and thanks for watching.

  • I was thinking of using aircraft stripper to remove the finish, how bout that? What kind of onion did you use?

  • @busared06 I'm not to sure about the aircraft stripper. I used a regular white onion but I guess ant type of onion will work.

  • how did you remove the finish?

  • Try a cold blueing you can pick it up at any wall mart in the gun sectin,it gives a nice finish and it very durable.

  • How do you strip the finish??

  • Have you found the patina finish to be durable when batoning/chopping/etc.?

  • @nextexhale Yes its extremely durable. it protects the high carbon steel much better than the original finish.

  • Nice job! This really looks good!

  • @SmokeRingsPipeDreams I appreciate the compliment. Thanks for watching.

  • where do i find elbow grease? is there an alternative for it?

  • @genryuusai

Just in case you were serious or someone comes upon the question and doesn't know... There is no alternative for elbow grease. "Elbow Grease" is another way of saying, to put some hard work /physical strength into it.

  • @JungKiChris haha =p i wasn't serious but thanks xD

  • Thanks

  • Thank you and sorry for my delayed response. I cut the onion into slices and laid the blade on them and them put more slices on top of the blade.

  • Awesome video did you just cut the onions and sit them ontop or stick the knife through the onions

  • I love this finish, did you use a stripper/ or paint thinner to take the original finish off, or did you only use sandpaper, if so what grit? thanks

  • @spencepb2x I don't remember what grit I started with. Start off with a heavier grit and use a lighter one as you remove most of the finish.

  • what did you use to remove the finish on the blade? If just sandpaper, What grit? Have a BK-7 and BK-11 that I would like to try this on. Nice video. Great job!

  • hello i realy like your patina how long did you leav the onion on and the vinegar i am assuming the darker lines are from the vinegar thanks

  • @RPor1984 I left the onion on for an hour and then rinsed it with cold water. And yes, the darker lines are from the vinegar. I left it on for 15 minutes and then rinsed it off. I didn't think the lines were dark enough so I applied it again a second time. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

  • What did you use red wine vinegar, white vinegar, lemon juice?

  • @anonomous53 I used an onion to get the base patina and then used a q-tip with red wine vinegar to get the striping.

  • That tiger stripe is great, nice work man. it looks awesome

  • @enjoiorange Thank you very much.
