I'm thoroughly DISGUSTED. I grew up in a household where a belt was used (35 years ago) but definitely was not used in this manner. What I saw was down right child abuse. She seemed too old for it and there are many other more humane ways of punishing a child. This guy needs a psyche evaluation and should be locked up. His wife or exwife (whatever you wanna call her) should also be punished by spending her days locked up in the cell with him.

His wife is just as guilty. I say remove him from his bench & lock him up & give him some serious probation. I can't even watch the whole the thing. I saw a brief clip on national news, and I was sick to my stomach. Hillary, my heart goes out to you. Hitting a child is NEVER, EVER acceptable. Hitting or beating ANYONE is not acceptable. In fact, it is against the law: Assault and battery. The Judge obviously is ignorant of U.S. laws.

This display by a parent & role model is disgusting. Parents are supposed to set an example on the right way to live. The Judge just taught his daughter that cursing & losing control is the way 2 deal with conflict.Putting your hands on yr child in a hostile manner & inflicting pain is a form of abandonment that many people never overcome. If this child experiences physical abuse by a parent she may seek the same in relationships. Punish by taking away privileges, not love. SHAME ON YOU, JUDGE!!

this is exactly what my father did to me my whole life and he was a cop!! he didnt cuss me like that but he beat the hell out of me with a belt til i was 16. im 43 now and just now , THIS WEEK, coming out of a lifelong addiction from the feelings of worthlessness and self hatred this caused me. my dad is comfortably living out his retirement with his new family , IF I HAD HAD ACCESS TO A VIDCAM I WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME, ive also never beaten my children, my oldest in med school

I didn't think it was that bad...I was never spanked as a child. There were time I prob. deserved a spanking and I will be spanking my Child. I dont think he should have cursed at her but children these days need to be spanked. School Violence has gone up since America stopped spanking! Kids think they can do whatever they want with out consequence. I think this girl is coward for not handling in a better way. There is nothing "courageous" about putting a video on youtube!
