Congratulations on your new Tele. I purchased one also this past Christmas. Have you had problem with the neck feeling "sticky". If yes, have you found a solution for this?
@classichomes1 I haven't had any problems with the neck feeling sticky at all. But I always wash my hands before I play and then I wipe the guitar down afterwards with Fender guitar polish. Every time. I'm OCD like that lol.
@classichomes1 I bought mine last November, and I sometimes have the same problem. The best thing to do is wipe it down with a good polishing cloth and some Dunlop 65 polish or something similar. I found that the yellow fender polishing cloth that comes with the guitar kind of sucks, so you'll have to work extra hard if that's all you have. Also, washing your hands of course is a great thing for keeping the neck smooth and retaining string life. Hopefully that helps.
