Don Fischer is the best at what he does. He has the perfect blend of excitement and professionalism that is just unmatched. Perfect voice. Our state is blessed.
It gets no better. I missed the original call by "Fish" as the radio station that I was listening to the game on broke away momentarily to start their local bluegrass music programming. Once someone at the station realized what was going on, or the switchboard started lighting up, the game came back on seconds after Starr hit the field goal. This was like my own personal "Hedi" game!
i don't care how much you hate a person, you should never make fun of them after they died! especially when coach hep died of a brain tumor at a descently young age. that could be one of the rudest and most disrespectful things you could do. this is what i mean when i say purdue fans aren't classy.
man i was from a side view on the east side of the stadium, thought the field goal was missed, and started cheering until i saw all the crazy iu fans. even though im a purdue fan i think it was a great kick, and i can tell how much pressure he had and how he felt. i was sooo nervous before my first extra point (which i missed D:) anyway itll be a great game in w laffayette i just got my tickets =D
haha...i left those comments down there like 4 weeks a go when iu was 2-0...now we're 2-5...haha..but purdue is too, so it'll be a showdown of the suckies
BSU whould beat us. I'm a purdue and ball state fan 3 generations of my family have went to bsu but if PU beat iu 62 to 10 and ball state beat iu by 10 purdue whould keep it closer. Plus i have met some of ball state 's up coming talent they are good. onw was in the top 11 qb's before he tore a muscle. then he came to bsu.
Munoz you ever lost a coach to cancer? These fans had every right to rush the field after what they went through and your a moron if you think otherwise.
I kind of dis agree I know thats ur opinon and i respect it but indiana had not beaten purdue in a long time this is bigger then osu vs mishagan to us purdue fans and also there great coach died of brain cancer thats is why i think the rushed the field
Great clip. It's a great moment. And it just sends chills down my spine when I hear the crowd go nuts and everyone hugging on the sideline. Unfortunately, I was wallowing in my sorrows at that point after another loss to OSU. Go beat the Cowboys.
ah that was the greatest game ive ever been to. my little cousin started crying out of joy when iu won. all the emotion in the rock.... it really got to him. and i dont blame him. this game was a great way for the hoosiers to honor hep. indiana, were all for you!
All hail Bill "Tiller Killer" Lynch! I've been to many exciting football games in Bloomington, but this is the greatest one of all time. It just doesn't get any better than Don Fischer! I can only imagine what Joe McConnell had to say! POTFB!
Thank you for this video with Fish's exciting call. What a great win for IU and a wonderful tribute to Coach Hep. Had we gone on to win easily, it would have been an outstanding victory. But, to lose the lead and then to win the way we did, made this a game for the ages. As Muhl24 said, it was pure magic.
That was tight. They really need to rethink the hash marks in college football. These guys already aren't the best and they make them kick at more difficult angles than the pros?
I knew Purdue would come back, but this was pure magic. Just like IU knocking off Duke in the '02 NCAA's. Just like Keith Smart in '87. Just like Anthony Thompson setting the new rushing record. God bless these Hoosiers!
It's been 4 years and Don's call STILL fires me up and chokes me up at the same time. Beat the Boilers again

Did anybody get Mitch Ewald's from today? Don't give IU kickers a chance to win it. Mitch Ewald= CLUTCH.

IU is fortunate to have a radio guy like Fischer, he is the best in the biz.
Let's win another one for HEP next Sat.

Don Fisher's call of the field goal reminds me of his call of Keith Smart's game winnning shot in 87 NCAA championship.
